Harry
Sam looked nervous seeing me here. She probably didn't expect, but I really wanted to surprise her. "What are you doing here?" She asked walking away from me. I turned around and grabbed her hand. "Sam, please let me explain." She yanked her arm away from me and turned around looking at me. "Explain what? Listen Harry I don't have time for you anymore. I don't want to play anymore stupid, little games with you." She turned around and continued walking. "Sam," I yelled. "This isn't a stupid game. I'm being serious." She turned around and yelled, "Yeah well I was being serious asking you to come to New York with me." She walked away from me.
"Listen," I said jogging up to her. "Let's have some lunch and we can talk it out." I offered. She turned around. "What do you just want, Harry?" She called out desperately. I grabbed her shoulders, so she couldn't escape this time and said, "I just want to talk to you."
Finally after a good 20 minutes, Samantha agreed and we walked together to a decent restaurant. We entered the place and got seated. Our waiter took our beverages and came back and gave us them. Once he left, Samantha took a big sip of her lemonade. I was staring at her. I noticed her flaws, now finally seeing her in some decent lighting. Her brown eyes were beautiful and bold. Her lips and nose were just perfect and her curly hair was cute and loose. She was so beautiful and ever since I arrived I just wanted to kiss her, but I knew she would reject it.
"I know you are mad at me and everything," I said starting up the conversation. She dead straight stared at me, not doing anything. "I just didn't want to mess things up, I guess." I said. She narrowed her eyes. "Bullshit you didn't want to mess things up." I blinked and said, "No, I mean with the boys and my music career. We had a gig that night and I couldn't just skip out plus I had no money." Samantha sipped her lemonade then said, "But aren't you getting paid with those gigs you do?" I nodded and said, "Yeah, but we always pay rent with them or buy food. If we want some extra cash we have to work for it." Samantha nodded, like she understood.
We got our food and we ate. We didn't even talk about why I was here or visiting and it seemed like by the end of the "date", Samantha wasn't pissed at me anymore and it made me feel good.
We held hands as we started walking back up to the college. It looked huge and there were still kids outside. We started swinging our hands back and forth. We talked a little bit and Samantha gave me a few pecks on the cheek.
Once we were at the campus, Samantha turned to me and said, "Listen I had a great 'date' and everything, but I got to be back to my classes. I'll talk to you later or something." I nodded and we hugged for a while. She let go and started walking towards the entrance. She turned around and waved. I smiled and waved back at her. I stood there until she got in. I headed back to my car. I didn't know what to do for the rest of the night. All I came here was for Sam, and now she was leaving me. Maybe I did make a mistake coming here.
