Today was packing day. I had to pack all my clothes and all my new accessories for my dorm. My mom rented a moving truck and it was leaving tonight. I decided to stay another day at home, so I would leave tomorrow on the bus. I was so excited. I put all my clothes in a travel bag while my accessories were in small boxes. We helped loaded the truck and it was off on it's way to New York.

We all went back inside the house. I looked and it was almost 8. I was so tired, yet I wanted to do something. "I can't believe your leaving tomorrow night." My mom said walking in the kitchen. Sophie and I sat on the bar stools next to each other. "I can't either," I said shocked that I would be leaving home tomorrow. It was amazing, but it seemed like it flew by fast. "You're so grown up," Sophie said wrapping her arm around me. She shook me then let go. I did feel old, and I hated that. It made me sad because I would think back when I was a little kid and all the fun times I had. I was going to miss home most defiantly.

"Let's do something," Sophie said getting bored. My mom laughed and said, "I'm tired. How about you girls do something?" Sophie burst out of excitement and yelled, "Yes! Let's go out to eat and then we could get ice cream or we could go bowling or we can karaoke." I laughed at her ideas. Sophie picked up her car keys and started leaving. I got up and followed right behind her.

Our first stop was McKnight's. It was a bar and grill restaurant and I always enjoyed their food whenever I went with my mom or with a couple friends. Sophie parked her car and we jumped out. We walked in and seated ourselves. Soon a waiter came by us and asked, "Hello, my name is Quenton and I'll be your waiter. What would you like to drink?" He pulled out his notepad and pen. "I'll have a beer," Sophie said. Quenton wrote down something and asked, "Can I have your I.D?" Sophie pulled it out and he looked at it. He gave it back to her then looked at me. "I'll have a lemonade." He wrote it down then said, "I'll be right back with your drinks." He walked away. "Ain't he kind a cutie?" Sophie asked. I laughed and said, "Maybe for you, but not for me." Sophie shrugged then Quenton came back with our drinks. We ordered our burgers then Quenton left.

"Do they have a bathroom here?" I asked. Sophie shrugged and said, "I think it's over there." Sophie pointed behind her and I stood up leaving her by herself. I started walking to the bathroom, but then I noticed something. I looked at a boy, who just looked like Harry. He was looking back at me and was laughing. I looked away and started my way to the bathroom.

I used the toilet and washed my hands. I looked at myself in the mirror. Was I just imagining that? Or was Harry really here? I shook my head and walked out of the bathroom. I turned and looked to see if Harry was still here, but the place he was sitting was empty. I continued walking and headed back to Sophie.

"Just in time," Sophie said as I sat down. She took a bite of her burger then set it down. I started on my burger. When we ate all our food, Sophie paid and we left the place.

Our next stop was the ice cream parlor. I was actually craving some ice cream. Sophie parked her car and we hopped out. We went inside and ordered our ice cream. I got plain vanilla in a cone, while Sophie got chocolate chip in a cone too. Sophie paid and we decided to sit outside. We sat on the chairs that were outside, and ate our ice cream. "Is this day getting better?" Sophie asked licking her ice cream. I looked at her and continued eating my ice cream. Once we were done, Sophie got up and pulled on my arm. "Let's go karaoke now!" Sophie yelled. We got into the car and drove away from the ice cream parlor.

"Sophie." I said at a red light. She was jamming out to a song on the radio. She turned in down then asked, "Yes?" I sighed and said, "I'm not really in a mood to karaoke right now. Can you just take me home?" The red light turned green and Sophie stepped on the gas. "What? Why don't you?" Sophie asked twisting her hair. I looked at her then back on the road. "I don't know. I think that ice cream got me. I'm too tired to sing." She looked over at me and frowned.

We headed home. Sophie parked her car and we got out. We headed inside the house. I started up the stairs and went to my bedroom. I felt like I didn't have enough energy. I got ready for bed and went to bed.
