Chapter 25

Samantha

I woke up from my bed and looked around. It was so weird that I was in college, but last night I wasn't. I was super excited to start my college life in New York and maybe get a chance to do different things. I was disappointed last night that Harry didn't come, but that didn't make me wanna stop starting a new college life. I got out of my bed and decided to get ready. I quietly unpacked my soap and sponge and got everything sorted. I closed the bathroom door and took a shower.

When I got out, my roommate, Avery was already up. She was typing away on her computer. "Good morning," I said as I walked acrossed the little room. I combed my wet hair, then sat down on a chair. "Hey so I was thinking that today is your first day here and maybe we can look around and shop in New York. Does that sound good to you?" I smiled and said, "Yeah, sure since we have nothing better to do." We actually didn't. It was a Sunday and classes didn't start until Monday, which I wasn't mentally ready.

Avery and I got ready quickly and soon we were out the campus and ready to explore New York. I brought money along just incase I wanted to buy something. We headed towards the downtown of New York. We walked downtown and went into the stores, only if we were interested in them. 

It was almost 5 o'clock and we decided to eat out somewhere. We went into a cheap fast food place and ordered our food. We sat down in a booth and brought along our shopping bags. I had atleast 5 bag while Avery had 3. I had some luck today finding things for me. We got our food and ate. When we were done we talked a little then decided to go back to the campus.

We went into our room and I looked through my bags. I put the new clothes away and got ready for bed. Avery did the same and soon our lights were out and we were both in bed. 

I couldn't get to sleep, but I heard Avery snoring away. I tried again and again, but she was making too much noise and I couldn't stop thinking about Harry. I got up and left my dorm room. I walked to the big living room area, that was made for all of us college kids and decided to have some warm tea. I made some and sat down on a chair. The TV was playing a movie while some kids watched it and others didn't. I sipped my tea while everyone around me were living their own life. I honestly felt like a loner and I didn't know anyone. I didn't know how to make friends even. 

I finished my cup just as a boy came over by me. "Can I sit here?" He asked. "Yeah," I said as I set my cup down. The boy had on flannel pants and a white shirt that was see through. I noticed he was tan and also had some nice abs. "I'm August." He took out his hand and we shook. "I'm Samantha." I said letting go. He nodded then looked around. It was quiet. I didn't know what to think. "I'm new around here and I just wanted to get to know everyone," August said looking back at me and I shook my head. I looked at my empty cup of tea then said, "Well you have a lot of names to remember." August looked at me confused and said, "What do you mean by that?" I looked at him then down at the cup. "Well you said you wanted to meet everyone here. There's a lot of kids attending college here and you'll probably get them confused." August nodded and didn't say another word. 

We finished talking and I decided to get some sleep. I headed to my dorm and closed the door behind me. Avery was still sleeping. I climbed into bed and closed my eyes.
