Samantha
I opened my eyes. I looked around. I sat up, in my bed, and checked my phone. It was only 8:30 in the morning and my first class started at 9:30. I got down from my bed and quickly went to the bathroom. I peed quick and washed my hands. I came back out of the bathroom and noticed that Avery was still sleeping. I didn't even know when her first class started, honestly. She didn't even tell me anything.
I picked out a new outfit and threw it on my bed. I hopped in the shower and I decided to take a long one since I had extra time today. I washed my hair and body and rinsed off. I dried myself off and slipped on my outfit. I decided to wear a sweater today, since it was a little bit chilly this morning. I dried and curled my hair. I finished up with doing my makeup and once I was all ready I decided to go on my computer and research a few things.
The first website that I went on was Twitter. I clicked open to Harry's profile and noticed he tweeted something last night.
"Everyone makes mistakes. Nobody, in the world, is perfect."
Harry tweeted. I sighed and scrolled down and read a couple more. I began getting sick and tired of him and logged out of my Twitter. I closed the computer and put it away.
I decided to head downstairs in the living room and make myself a cup of coffee, since I really needed the energy this morning. I walked downstairs, hearing kids yelling and laughing. I went by the coffee dispenser and poured myself a cup of hot coffee. Of course, I added creamer and sugar to sweeten it. I looked around and noticed they had donuts out. I took a glazed donut along with a napkin and seated myself to a table, that was empty.
I sat there looking around at the kids, as I ate my donut and sipped my coffee. I was halfway done, when Avery came downstairs and decided to sit with me. "Morning," I said cheerfully. "Oh man," Avery said sitting down slowly, it was like she was sore or something. She scratched her bed head and turned to face me. I smiled, noticing she was still in her pajamas. "What's wrong?" I asked taking a bite of my donut. "I don't know," Avery said yawning. She continued, "I think I slept wrong. My back hurts so bad." I nodded. "Where did you get that?" She asked pointing to my food. "Over there," I said pointing at the table. A couple kids were just helping themselves. She got up and helped herself.
"You look very pretty today. Is that a new outfit?" Avery said eating her donut. I nodded and said, "Yeah I deiced to wear something nice since it's my first day." Avery smiled and said, "Oh yeah. I forgot!" I rolled my eyes like it was no big deal.
Here's the story, I start today with my classes and Avery has until next week when she starts her's. I thought it wasn't fair, but since we are studying different subjects it evened out. Plus, Avery transferred here from a different college, so she already had her first day of college.
We finished up our breakfast and headed back to our dorm. When I got there, I grabbed my book bag and books. "Well I think I am going," I said thinking what else did I needed. "Have fun!" Avery said typing away on her computer. She looked up at me and smiled. I opened the door and closed it behind me, ready to start the day and just get it over with.
I first when to College Composition. I didn't even wanted to take this class, but I thought it would be interesting and it sure was interesting. The professor gave us a lecture and handed me tons of papers to sign. They went over the rules of the classroom and exceptions. By the end of this class, I knew I had someone who hated me with a passion.
My next class was Human Growth and Development. I just prayed that it wasn't as bad as my first class was, and I was right, it wasn't so bad at all. The professor actually liked me and asked me questions. We all go to know everyone in the class and we all started talking. He gave us some papers to sign and talked about the expectations and rules in his classroom. By the time the bell rung I was out of that class.
Now I had lunch, which I was pretty excited about. I walked back to my dorm room and Avery was there already. "Hey how was it?" She asked as I threw my bag down. "It was alright, now can we just eat already?" Avery laughed and said, "Yeah, sure. I have some friends coming along. Is that alright?" I nodded and we were out the dorm room. We met up with Avery's friends and started walking outside. Our plan was actually to walk over to a fast food restaurant and just chill out there, until the bell would rang.
We started walking down as I noticed it was a little warm outside. I felt stupid wearing a sweater and I wanted to change, but we kept walking. We were almost at the bottom of the steps as I looked up and saw someone I recognized.
He stopped in front of me and smiled. My heart began pounding and I swore everyone could hear it. I was freaking out. "Hi." He smiled down at me. At this time, I noticed how short I was compared to him. I felt so tiny. Avery and her friends stopped and watched us. "Hey we're just gunna go. We'll get you something to eat on the way." Avery said leaving. I watched her and her friends leaving and walking across the street together.
"Harry, what are you doing here?" I asked feeling my heart thump.
