Chapter 17

What could had went wrong? I couldn't respond or even show my emotion after So-yeon had spill the tea. So-yeon went on and on about the rest, but my head was still circling around Yoongi.

"So-yeon...do you perhaps know where he is at now?", I interrupted.

"Who?", So-yeon asked. I forgot that she had already talked about the others.

"It's...uh...its...", I mumble the words. Why couldn't I say his name, its not like So-yeon would mind if I ask. 

"Who? Yoongi?", she said with a scoop of ice cream in her mouth.

I slowly nodded my head. I felt this guilt inside of me, even though I haven't done anything wrong.

So-yeon then explained, "The last time I heard was that he ran away from home for at least four years but returned. Who knows, this was just a rumor that I heard. Anyhow its impossible that he must had return back because after all these years, I haven't bump into him, not even once".

I let out a sign, "Hopefully...hopefully he's safe".

"What was that?", So-yeon asked.

"Ah, nothing. I didn't say anything", I smiled.

So-yeon and I spent the whole afternoon catching up with our lives. Talking about the good old times as high-schoolers to our college life. But I couldn't bring up the subject that I was dating Jin, its wasn't the right time to tell So-yeon. Just then, a familiar man walked in to the ice cream shop. He was wearing a black hoody sweater, grey-black jean that had a rip on the right knee, black sneakers. Something about that man figure looks familiar to me, but I could grasp my head who it was. I couldn't see the face clearly since he had a black mask covering his nose to his chin.

I slowly bend over to So-yeon who was sitting facing the wall and I sat facing the front of the shop, I whispered, "Doesn't that man over there looks familiar to you or is it just me.

So-yeon turned around and the moment she saw the man's back she quickly turned back to me, "What is he doing here? I thought he left to the state".

"Who?", I asked, "Is it....no...it can't be...Jungk-", I whispered.

"So-yeon covered my mouth with her small hands, "Shh...lets just get out of here before he notice me".

I agreed to her idea. I too did not want to meet him, I rather meet Yoongi that Jungkook, especially after what he's done to So-yeon. Wee slowly sneak out way out of the shop before he even notice, but in bad luck as we always are, Jungkook came out of the shop with his ice coffee drink in his hand. The moment he met eyes with So-yeon, we were dead meat.

So-yeon couldn't even look into his eyes for a second. She turned around as fast as she could, grabbed my hand and quickly dragged me with her. From behind us, Jungkook yelled, "STOP! SO-YEON STOP!".

"So-yeon, he's calling you", I mumble.

"Let him", she began to tear up, "I don't want to see or speak or even hear voice".

I knew then that she was lying to herself and to me. I know how she felt deep inside, she was happy to see him, hear him, but didn't have the courage to face him. I wanted to stop her and tell her to go see him, but it was not my choice to make the decision for her. If she wants to runaway then let her, if she decides to face him then let her. I couldn't do anything but support her decides as a good friend.

I turned around to get a glance at Jungkook. He ran after us and was nearly about to catch up. So-yeon began to run faster and faster, yet we couldn't beat him. He caught up to us, he stopped us by standing in front blocking our ways. I slowly remove So-yeon's hand from my wrist, step away from her and Jungkook. Jungkook on the other hand was trying to catch him breath as he tried to talked to So-yeon. But she couldn't even bare to look at him, she tried to turn around and walk away from the scene but Jungkook grabbed her wrist, "Just give me five minute. I'm only asking for five minute".

"I don't have anything to say to you", she yelled with a slightly cry in her voice.

"I know, but I have something to say", he begged, "Just listen, huh? Please?".

She then turns around to look at Jungkook, So-yeon began to tear up, "You left me. You left me without even a goodbye. I told you how much it pains me to have someone I love leave me without a word, especially after Mi-na left. You knew how much pains and hurt I went through yet you did the same thing to me", she cried, "I don't want to see your face ever again. The ups and down that we have its long gone".

She removed Jungkooks grip from her wrist and walked toward me, slowly put her arms aound my arm and whispered, "I want to go home".

I answered, "Okay, lets go".

I could feel that So-yeon couldn't even take a step forward. She kept limping as I took a step. Tears ran down her eyes and even time it did, she quickly wiped it off with her bare hand. We only took a few steps when Jungkook swipe over us carried So-yeon in his arms. Before I could even let go of her, she was already in his arms. He carried her and began walking away from me. I stumble to follow them, but I decided not to. He's not a dangerous person, I'm able to trust him with my best friend.

"Hopefully he gets a chance to tell her whatever his excuse may be", I said to myself.

I could hear So-yeon screaming, "Let go. Let go if me....I don't want to listen to you...let go..."

Then Jungkook replies, "If I let you go, you'll run away from me...scream all you want I'll just kiss. That's how I always keep you quiet anyways".

I watch Jungkook carry So-yeon farther and farther away. With a smile on my face I decided to go back home since the sun began to set. I turned around to see Yoongi standing about five steps in front of me.

-Okay...okay...even though I am the author...this just caught me off guard. I can't believe I am ending this chapter like this. Even I don't even know what is going to happen next and I'm the author.
