I don't know how they managed to do it, but they did.
They had covered every inch of wall space in my bedroom with pictures. Pictures of us, them, Jay, Angie, and Ana the cat.
"Guys, how...?" trailed off. My eyes welled up with tears.
I hugged each of them tightly. "How did you do this so fast? You were only up here for ten minutes," I asked incredulously.
"All the pictures are on poster board, and we just hung those on your walls," Nichole explained.
"Do you like it?" Gabriel asked nervously.
"Like it? This is insane you guys, I love it!" I said.
"Good. We thought whenever you came home you'd be lonely with them in Cali and me in Nashville so now you can see us whenever you're home," Carolina told me.
That did it. I started to cry. Kiki and Grace fist bumped each other.
"You guys are the best!" I cried, "What am I going to do without you?" I said.
"Be miserable and lonely and sad," Nichole said with a smirk.
"Well I know who I'll miss the least," I fired back at her, sticking my tongue out at her.
She laughed.
"Dinners ready!" We heard Angie call up the stairs.
"Coming!" I yelled back, "Let's eat, we're having tacos."
We were all seated outside on a blanket in my backyard.
"Have you met your roommate?" Kiki asked me.
"I've exchanged the general email, but no. And she's not on any social media either, I tried to find her," I said.
"What's her name?"
"Leah Jackson. She's a year older than us but she seems nice enough."
Gabriel was busy tapping away on her phone.
Nichole snapped her fingers under her nose. "Hello? Anyone home?" she asked.
Gabriel blushed down to her toes. "Yeah, sorry. Uh, Leah? She seems nice," she stuttered.
The rest of us shared a unanimous thought.
"Who is it?" we all asked at once.
"Nobody," she lowered her eyes to the ground.
"Liar!" Grace shouted and leapt across the blanket to snatch the phone away from Gabriel.
Once it was in her possession, Grace opened the phone to her messages.
She read for a minute before her eyes widened and she threw the phone at me. She sat there for a minute before she burst out laughing hysterically.
I skimmed the conversation that was on display before me.
Nolan <3:

Me too--I'm at Sasha's I'll talk to you later baby oxoxoI glanced up at Gabriel with wide eyes. She was scowling at us with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Well," I started.
"Well what?" She snapped.
"Well, I've come to a conclusion ladies," I said dramatically, "Gabriel is completely, madly, hopelessly, and utterly in love. And it's beautiful," I said with a smile.
"You think?" Nichole scoffed, "Poor girl's been whipped since about ninth grade."
Carolina rolled her eyes. "I think it's adorable. I want someone to love me as much as Nolan loves you, Gab," she said softly. This was news to all of us, Carolina rarely spoke about her love life.
"Don't we all, sister. Don't we all."
