Sasha's POV

I woke up that morning in an empty room.

That's odd.

Where's Garret?

I checked my phone to see if he'd left me a message. He had.

GarrBear ;P

Went to shower and change...see you in class :)

I smiled. Last night had been really fun. I decided to call Leah to see if she wanted to get coffee with me before class started today.

"Hello?" came Leah's voice. She sounds upset.

"Hey Lee, are you okay?" I asked with concern.

"No!" she wailed, "I'm at Lydian's. Come over," she begged.

"Give me twenty."

I hung up, showered, changed, applied my makeup, and ran out the door.

Eighteen minutes later, I stood I front of Lydian's apartment.

Kat opened the door for me. Her face informed me that my days plans were going to be getting cancelled.

I stepped in to see Lydian and Leah sitting on the couch. Leah was crying.

"Hey," I said softly, "What happened?"

She looked at me with sad eyes. "I messed up."

~

"Well if he took you back the first time, maybe he'll do the same thing again?" I suggested.

"That's just it though. Because he's done it before he won't do it again," Leah said.

"What are you going to do?" Kat asked.

"Stay broken up I guess," she sniffled.

I checked my phone. It was 9:46, which means Garret was in class. If we were skipping, so could he.

"Excuse me for a second," I said. I walked into the bathroom.

I dialed his number.

"Sash? Where are you?" he asked when he picked up.

"I'm at Lydian's. Leah had a rough night," I said.

"Uh oh. I talked to Shay about it this morning. She told you what happened?"

"Yeah. What should I do?" I asked.

"Just be a friend I guess. She'll be okay soon enough," he said.

"Okay. How was Shay?"

"He was pretty messed up about the whole thing. I think he was more angry than upset though. He'll be fine," Garret said.

I sighed into the phone. "Ugh, okay. I'll talk to you later I guess," I mumbled.

"Want to get dinner tonight?" He asked cheerily.

"Sure. I'll meet you at Little Star at six?"

"Sounds great. Have a good day," he said.

"You too, bye," and then I hung up.

I walked back out into the sitting room. Leah and Kat were looking through movies.

"Preference?" Kat asked holding up two movies.

One was The Notebook, and the other was How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days.

"That one," I said, pointing to Ten Days.

"Really? I had you pegged as a Notebook type girl," Kat said.

"I watched it last night," I admitted.

Leah smirked at me.

"What?" I asked innocently.

"With whom?" she asked.

"Garret," I said, my cheeks turning pink.

"You guys are so cute together," Leah said a little jealously.

"We aren't together Lee, he's just my friend," I reminded her.

I had wondered why I wasn't attracted him; he was adorable, funny, and sweet, but I just wasn't. I loved our relationship like it was, nothing more.

She just winked at me.

We made popcorn and watched movies all day long. We had just finished The Vow when I checked the time on my phone, I jumped up.

It was 5:48.

"Guys, I have to go," I said to them.

"Oh that's alright, thanks for staying as long as you did. Where are you going?" Leah asked as she got up and hugged me.

"I'm having dinner with," I paused. Should I tell her? Might as well. "Garret tonight. At 6:00," I informed her.

She consulted her watch. Her eyes widened.

"It's five fifty! You don't have time to change," she said, perplexed, "hold on, I'll be right back."

I checked my outfit. A pair of black leggings with an oversized blue shirt. My long brown hair was tied in a knot on top of my head.

She ran down the hall and was back moments later with a black tube of mascara.

She unscrewed the top and tilted my chin up.

After she was satisfied, she ushered me to the door.

"Call me!" she shouted down the hallway.

~

"I'm sorry I'm late!" I said. I was panting I'm sure, I ran from my car all the way through the courtyard to get here.

He just chuckled. "You're fine, don't worry. I'm surprised I was here before you," he said with a smile.

I picked up a menu but he took it away from me. I must have given him a strange look because he laughed again.

"I already ordered for us. That's what happens when you're late," he said with a wink.

I blushed. "What am I having then?"

"You'll see."

A few minutes later, Corbin brought out our food.

"Hey! Sasha, right?" he asked me.

"Yeah, that's me," I answered.

He smiled and set a plate of steaming hot soup in front of me. Garret got some sort of sandwich.

He looked at me expectantly. I took a small drink of my soup.

"This is great! Thanks," I said.

"Glad you like it."
