Sasha and Shay were in love with each other, and didn't know it.
What kind of screwed up reality show am I living in?
I was back in my dorm room, alone. I needed time to think. I was never one for playing match maker, but my brother sure was.
He picked up on the third ring.
"Hello?"
"Gavin! I need your help," I said.
"Me? Who is this and and what have you done with my pain in the ass brother?" Gavin laughed.
"Not the time, Gav. You've always been better in these situations. So I have these friends, Shay and Sasha. And they love each other, and don't know it," I said vaguely.
"Do explain."
And so I did. I told him everything. From the dreams to the freak out in their room when they first saw each other.
He was quiet for a minute when I was done.
"Well?" I asked impatiently.
"I'm thinking," he snapped.
I sighed dramatically. I have never been the best at keeping secrets, but Gavin has. He'll know what to do. I can't just let them miss out on each other. That'd be cruel.
"Is there an event of some sort she could take him too? From the looks of it, you'd be her first choice, but act like you can't go and make him go instead," he said, "but, you need to see how Leah reacts to them interacting first before you try anything. Okay?"
"Okay. Thanks Gav. Tell Nate I said hello," I said.
He was silent for a beat. "I love you, Garret. I'll tell him," and he hung up.
My brother had a rough childhood. He was always getting picked on for being gay, something I never understood. I loved him so much, and Nathan was a cool brother in law.
I flopped into my bed with my laptop. It's about time I start that research paper...
Sasha POV
I went back to my room while replaying my conversation with Garret. Only a few people know about that dream.
I was about to open our door when I heard the noise coming from inside. Yelling. Lots of yelling.
The walls were thick for soundproof purposes, so it was bad if I could hear them.
I carefully entered the room to see Leah and Shay standing about a foot from each other.
"Uh, hey there," I said so awkwardly.
"Do you need something?" Shay said rudely.
"Don't talk to her like that," Leah snapped.
That started another argument.
"Okay, stop!" I shouted.
They both froze and turned to me.
"We need to talk this out like adults. You're acting childish," I spat at them.
They sat in opposite beds with me in the middle on the floor.
"Ladies first."

Two hours and a box of tissues later, they were speaking diplomatically.
"Shay," I said warningly.
His drug his hand down his face. "Leah, I'm sorry."
"Leah?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Shay, I'm sorry," she said softly.
"Good. Now shake hands or something. I'm not saying you have to be friends, but don't walk away enemies. Okay?"
They nodded. Leah extended her and first. He grabbed it and shook it.
"Thanks Sash. Goodnight," he said as he left.
"Leah, you okay?" I asked, wrapping her in a hug.
"Do you think it was because of you? That he won't take me back?" she asked quietly.
I was appalled. "Why would it be because of me?" I asked incredulously.
"I'm not blaming you," she said hurriedly, "I'm just saying that ever since you got here, he's been acting differently. That's all," she said with a shrug.
I processed this information.
"You think Shay broke up with you," I said slowly, "because of me?"
"That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying he obviously has feelings for you, they're quite blatant, and maybe that influenced his decision. I'm not mad, I actually think you guys would be great together," she said.
I tried to wrap my mind around what she was saying. Her boyfriend just broke up with her-nicely, thanks to me-and now she's saying that we'd be cute together?
Oh my.
"Lee, what Shay and I had was a long time ago. It's nothing anymore," I said.
"So you admit you had something though?"
"Leah."
"Sasha."
"Oh my goodness. Yes, Shay and I had something. But then the bastard moved to New York and I never heard from him again!" Now I was the one yelling.
She smiled.
"I'm okay with you two dating, just keep the PDA to a minimum around me. Okay?"
I flopped down on my bed.
"You have a twisted way of looking at things, Lee. You really do."
