That night I was curled up in my old room with my phone. I was looking the you pictures of me and my friends from Gabriel's wedding.
I selected one of all of us girls for my wallpaper. It was one that someone took when we were all laughing with each other, so it looked really cute.
Someone knocked on my door.
"Come in," I called.
Shay walked in carrying a sleeping bag and pillow.
I giggled. "What are you doing?"
"Sleeping in here. There are monsters under my bed," he explained.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. His name is Jay," Shay joked.
"Very funny. Why exactly are you sleeping in here though?"
"Because I love you."
"I think you just like saying that out loud," I said unable to contain my smile.
"I do. And I think you like hearing it," he said.
"I do," I admitted.
He finished placing his things on the floor and walked over to my side of the bed.
He knelt down beside me and rested his chin on the mattress.
"Do you think it'll be a boy or a girl?" he asked me quietly.
"I hope it's a girl. I'd be happy either way, but I think they would have more fun with a girl."
"I want that someday. Do you?" he asked randomly.
"What? A baby? Maybe," I replied.
"No, well yes, but no. I want to look at someone the way they look at each other, Sash. I want to love somebody like that someday," he said.
He was kind of freaking me out, only because we had never had this conversation before.
"Me too. I want all of it," I agreed.
He held my gaze for a few seconds.
"I love you, Sasha."
"I love you, Shay."
He kissed my forehead. "Goodnight."
