"Yes."
"No."
"Shay."
"Sasha."
"You're wearing the tie, Shay. It's your best friends wedding. Put it on," she commanded.
I huffed. The white bow tie was a stark contrast to my dark green shirt and dark jeans.
I tied it with little difficultly. She handed me my tan suit coat.
I took in her appearance. She looked stunning.
Her brown hair was pinned behind her head but still fell down her back. The dark green and blue dress made her eyes stand out brilliantly.
"You look incredible," I complimented.
Her cheeks went red. "Thanks. You look good too."
Once she was satisfied with whatever she was putting all over her face, we left.
The wedding was being held on a pier, not the actually beach, thankfully.
Sasha gripped my hand for support while walking on the rickety wood in her tall shoes.
We found our seats and the ceremony began soon after.
Sasha POV
The wedding was beautiful. Gabriel cried during the vow exchange, and Nolan did too even if he won't admit it.
Shay held my hand the whole time. I wonder what marriage with him would be like? How many kids would we have? Where would we live?
He saw me staring at him but instead of asking why he just leaned in and kissed me.
"You may kiss the bride."
Everyone cheered and clapped when they kissed. Nolan dipped her and she laughed.
It was adorable.

The dinner was being held inside a beautiful hotel right behind the pier.
We ate, talked, and danced.
I can not wait until my wedding.
I was sitting with Kiki and Grace when he came up to me.
"Care to dance?" Shay asked.
"You don't dance," I said, confused.
"I will for you," he replied sweetly.
Kiki coughed and Grace winked at me.
I rolled my eyes. "Sure. Let's dance," I answered.
Ironically, the song playing was I Don't Dance, which I found funny.
He held me close as we swayed back and forth.
If this was what heaven felt like, I'd die tomorrow.
"I had a dream once," he started, "That you and I fell in love. We were young and free. I took you out and we laid in the back of-"
"Your pick-up truck," I finished. He looked at me incredulously.
"And we went swiming, and played twenty questions," I continued.
"Did Garret tell you?" he asked softly.
"No, he didn't. As strange as it may sound, I had the same one. I've been waiting to tell you, and I guess this is it," I said.
"Oh. Wow," he said, still processing.
He bent down and kissed me.
"So all that about your parents," he started.
I nodded. I didn't want to talk about that right now.
"And that means I still have a few questions left, doesn't it?" he smirked.
"Let's both have one left. Okay?"
"That works for me."
"Shay, you said that you had a dream where you, uh," I stuttered.
"Fell in love with you? Yeah, I did. I always have Sash. Ever since seventh grade. That day back in high school when I spilled coffee on you was my chance, so I took it. Then New York happened and I thought I would never see you again," he said sadly.
"But here we are," I said, wanting him to continue.
He smiled. "Here we are, in California, at our best friends wedding, dancing together. What are the chances of that?" he chuckled, "but to answer your question, I do love you, Sasha. I have for a while."
I was stunned.
"I," do I say it back?
Help.
"I don't get it, how could you love me? I'm nothing that special," I wondered.
"That's where you're wrong, chickadee. You are the single most extraordinary person on the face of this earth Sasha Jacobs, and there is nothing you could do to change that," he said sincerely.
I thought about his answer.
"Shay?"
"Yes?"
"I love you."
