//Hokage Office//

"I'm sorry Lord Hokage," Yuki says while raising her hand, "Could you please repeat that?"

"As I said before, you three will be going to Kiri and helping the rebels win the war. Yuki, you will be leading the squad as you are the highest rank in your squad as Kakashi will not be coming with you." Tsunade says while crossing her arms, she then looks over the three before her, "Any questions?"

"Just one," Sasuke says, speaking for the first time since entering the office, "Will there be anyone else coming with us?"

Tsunade frowns slightly, seeing a hopeful gleam in his eyes along with the others in his team.

"There will be a team sent out to retrieve you in six months whether or not the war is over."

Sasuke nods before becoming silent again, the hopeful gleam dying. Taking one last glance at the three before her, she dismisses them.

Once they leave, Shizune steps over to Tsunade as she relaxes in her chair, "When will you tell them?"

"Tell them what?" Tsunade asks while grabbing a sake bottle and opening it up.

"About their teammate, Haruno Sakura." Shizune says while hugging her pig closer to her. "They need to know."

Tsunade sighs and puts the sake bottle down, "How do I tell them that she was executed at the age of twelve for questioning the previous Hokage?"

"Well, not bluntly, thats for sure. But they deserve to know, you saw how hopeful when Sasuke asked if anyone was going to be sent with them." Shizune says, her pig oinking in agreement.

Tsunade sighs before picking the sake bottle back up, "I'll tell them when they get back in six months."

Shizune nods satisfied before forcing Tsunade to do her paper work before she became to drunk to do it.

It was silent between the three as they walked out of the village before taking to the trees. No words needed to be spoken as they all knew the topic that would arise, especially after the frown Tsunade had given them after Sasuke silently hinted about Sakura.

They traveled for hours in silence before Yuki spoke, "We should stop here for the night, it's getting dark and about to rain."

Getting nods of agreement from the other two, they find a cave for the night before getting settled. Sasuke started the fire while Yuki began making food for them that night. Unsealing a pot and vegetables, she began making a soup for them.

As she worked, Naruto set up the tents in silence before sighing and turning towards the others, "I never thought we would be constantly wondering what happened to Sakura-chan." He says in a quiet voice.

Yuki pauses in her cutting for a moment before continuing, "Neither did I but she brought it upon herself."

Sasuke huns in agreement before going over to try helping Yuki with the soup. Naruto sighs before sitting next to the fire to warm up as the temperature had dropped once the rain began. A new silence enveloped them as the soup began to cook, one of understanding with slight sadness.

They all understood there was nothing they could've done for Sakura once she questioned their orders but, they all still felt something could have been done. The fact that she was classified made it even worse. If they knew what happened to her it might've been better, if even slightly. But, as they sat in the cave waiting for the soup to be done, the realization that they may never know what happened to her became more of a reality.
