Two Faced

- Yuki's pov. -

Stepping into the village, we took our time walking through the empty streets. We passed multiple buildings, all with their roofs caved in and their windows blown in. Glass littered the ground while the sent of smoke lingered in the air.

Suddenly Sasuke stopped walking, causing both me and Naruto to stop as well. Walking over to his still figure, I could see that he had picked up a child's toy that was covered in blood.

"What do you think happened?" Naruto lowly asked.

When we had been given the briefing, Tsunade had said the village was very lively and a popular tourist stop, but seeing it now you wouldn't have guessed.

"Not sure, but I have a hunch it had to do with Rex Greendale." Rēi answers as he stands up on my shoulders and puts his front legs on top of my head for a better vantage point. "I can sense another person here."

"Take us to them." Sasuke says while standing up, he was still holding the child's toy.

Rēi nods before jumping from his spot on me before spreading his wings and taking off. We quickly followed, passing more buildings that increased in damage as we went.

It didn't take us long to reach the person Rēi had sensed and discovered it was indeed Rex Greendale. There he stood covered in blood while giggling to himself as he splashed in puddles of blood that ran through the streets from the ninja that laid dead around him. Trying not to be fazed by the image before us, we jumped into action and surrounded him.

"Rex Greendale, you'll be coming with us." Naruto says while drawing his sword.

It seemed as though Rex just noticed us as his giggling comes to an automatic halt before he glanced at us before grinning.

"You sure about that?" He grins and before we could do anything he flies through multiple hand signs.

The blood littering the streets rose off the ground and turned into sharp spears before flying at us. It almost looked like Garra's sand and if I had stopped to admire it I would've been skewered by it.

- Third person's pov. -

Team 7 all dodged the spears of blood before going to attack Rex themselves. Naruto and Sasuke charged forwards with their blades drawn while Yuki stayed towards the back and covered them with a bow made up of her gold chakra. It had been a long time since the three of them had been on a mission together, but their teamwork wasn't affected by it as they moved in time with one another.

Rex, seeing the two boys rushing towards him, smirked before placing making the monkey seal, "Blood style: Blood Needle."

Immediately, the blood that was being thrown at them stopped before turning into sharp needles which rained down on them. The leaf ninja dodged the needles they could, but there were too many. They eventually had multiple needles embedded in their bodies, Naruto and Sasuke having the most as Rex deemed them bigger threats than Yuki.

That was a mistake.

His arrogance led him to briefly forget about Yuki and open himself for attacks. Quietly, she made her way behind him while her two teammates distracted him. Once she had gotten behind him she formed finger guns with both her hands before pointing them at Rex. She then shot bullets of gold chakra into each of his calves before two more went through his sides. Shouting out of shot and pain, Rex became distracted, giving Sasuke enough time to deck him across the face.

Panting, Sasuke smirked and lifted his sword to either incapacitate or kill Rex, his body froze along with Narutos. Rex, who laid on the ground, looked up at the Uchiha in confusion before the sound of footsteps walking towards him caused him to snap his head in their direction. What he saw surprised him before a look of panic crossed his face.

"No, stay back." Rex said while attempting to stand up, only to find out that the bullets had severed his nerves, not allowing him to use his legs.

Yuki held two fingers up before lowering them, she had put her own teammates into a gen-jutsu. She had to accomplish the mission ROOT had given her, she didn't have a choice. Slowly walking towards Rex, she slipped her ROOT mask onto her face. Unlike the masks ROOT operatives wore, Yuki's mask was pure white, but the splatters of blood on it made it look like the wearer was crying bloodied tears.

"It's nothing personal, but you blew your cover and Myle-Sama doesn't take kindly to those who get caught." Yuki says as she stood over the man before decapitating him.

Sighing, Yuki watched as his head landed on the ground in a puddle of blood, before the body followed causing a splash once it landed.

She then took off her mask before looking towards Rēi, "Get me a body."

//In the Leaf Village //

"- And then Naruto decapitated him before Rex could kill Yuki." Sasuke said finishing up the mission report to the Hokage.

Tsunade nods before discreetly looking towards Yuki who winked at her in return. The girl herself was covered in scrapes and bruises but what stood out was the bandage around her neck. Sasuke and Naruto in comparison looked better as they only had a few cuts here and there.

"You're dismissed. Yuki, stay back."

Sasuke and Naruto cast a worried glance towards Yuki before bowing and stepping out of the office. Tsunade waited until the door closed before making her ANBU leave and activating the privacy seals.

"What really happened?"

Yuki took off the bandage around her neck, revealing no wound what so ever, before speaking.

"What they told you was all a gen-jutsu I put them under. In reality after they went under I decapitated him and sealed him into a scroll before taking a body from the village and making it look like Rex."

Tsunade nods before lacing her fingers together, "So who has the real body?"

Yuki pulls out a scroll from her weapons pouch, "I do. I need to give it to ROOT so they keep believing I'm on there side. You however get this scroll." Yuki says pulling out a slightly bigger scroll. "It contains a seal that when activated allows you to go through Rex's memories even if you don't have the body. Oh, and Anthony in TI is in ROOT."

Tsunade nods before taking the scroll, "Dismissed."

//With ROOT //

"Where is it?" Myle snaps impatiently, she had called Yuki to headquarters as soon as she walked out of the Hokage Building.

Silently Yuki pulls out a scroll and unrolls it showing a seal on the paper. Biting her thumb, she spreads it over the seal before running through a few hand signs and slamming her hands onto the ground causing a body and a severed head to appear.

"You're dismissed." Myle tells her before walking over to the dead body. "You will be called when needed again."
