- Yuki's pov. -
There once was a time when I thought undercover assignments were so cool. Even before moving to the Leaf I thought becoming someone you weren't and sneaking around would be fun and exciting. Now I've grown up and hate the hand I was given in life.
Let me put it in a way you'll understand. Undercover assignments are nothing but a pain in the ass and makes the ninja paranoid about everything. Oh, and then there all the suicide missions I keep getting sent on.
The very first mission I was sent on I had to blow up some hideout. They told me either my partner or I were supposed to act as a suicide bomber so that everything would be fine. Long story short my partner was the bomber and I got any information and gave it to Myle, but not before making copies and giving them to Tsunade.
The stress was getting to me and I didn't know when I'd crack. When on mission I was 'fine,' but back in the village? I thought I was going to spill everything to the first person who saw me in tears. To counteract this though, I ended up asking Tsunade to put a seal on me after the first month.
Not ideal, I know, but necessary. If the stress and paranoia was already getting to me a month into the assignment processions needed to be taken or I wouldn't be able to see the mission out and get my clan killed in the process.
.
.
.Running a hand through my hair, I sigh as I face the ROOT ninja who holds a bag in front of me. "Really? It's been a month. Do I really need to still wear a bag over my head?"
I don't get a response back before sighing and allowing them to slip the bag over my head. I could then feel them grab my shoulder before being teleported out of the village and to the base.
The ROOT Nin pushes me forward before guiding me through a bunch of hallways before finally coming to a stop. The bag gets pulled off my head and light attacks my eyes. Blinking to adjust my eyesight, I looked around to get my bearings. I was in a large room full of other ROOT ninja standing at attention. Up above, there was a balcony that looked down at everyone gathered.
Quickly I slipped on the ROOT mask I was given when I was blackmailed into this before standing in one of the many rows. Once everyone was accounted for, I couldn't help but notice that everyone gathered was new to ROOT. Curiously, I began to mentally prepare myself for what was to come next as Myle stepped into view and began to address the crowd.
"As you've notice, all newbies have been gathered here today. The reason for this is to pick the very best out of you. To accomplish this, you will fight to the death until only one of you remains." Myle says as a crazed smile began to form on her face.

My eyes widen beneath my mask before all the exits were closed and electric bars came down on all sides of us on the ground, boxing us in.
"You start now." Myle voiced before the killing began.
I'm not sure where it started, or who started it, all I knew was one moment I was freaking out and the next I was dodging a sword and decapitating someone.
By the time I had killed the tenth person Myle's words finally processed. Only one person would make it out alive. Gritting my teeth, I reach into my kunai pouch for another one only to feel nothing. I had used them all.
Cursing, I dodged a strike from a ninja before getting in close and punching them in the throat. Using their distraction to my advantage, I broke their wrist making them drop their sword, only for me to catch it and use it to kill them. Their body hit the ground with a soft thud before I took a quick glance around. Already half of those here were killed, their courses littering the ground only serving as opportunities to trip.
