You never know what you'd find if you went looking in classified files. Yuki certainly didn't expect to find out what she did but it was the best and worst thing she could've found to not only end ROOT, but get the shinobi nations to come together to wipe them out.
It was the middle of the night when Yuki broke into ROOT headquarters and the fact that she hadn't been caught yet was a miracle in itself. She had hoped she had gotten better at hiding her chakra and this was proof enough that she had. The record room wasn't what she was expecting, she had thought it would be like the Hokage's where it was behind a wall panel in the Hokage's office.
Here though, there was a door that was labeled records and upon entering theres a little platform that takes you into the middle of the room serving a the floor as the room was like a pit that went down forever. The walls were covered in bookshelves that held boxes that contained all the records of what happened in ROOT. She thought it was stupid of them to record everything that happened but she wasn't complaining, it made her job easier.

To get to the shelves she had to walk on the walls which made it bit more difficult to look at the labels on the boxes but she managed. After a while of looking at labels and finding things that she already knew or didn't seem as important, she found a box smaller then the rest and only labeled with a date.
The vagueness of the description peaked her interest so she grabbed the box before walking back up the wall and sitting down on the platform before going through its contents. Inside was a photo of a woman walking through the snow, scroll that held a storage seal and five headbands all of which were from the main shinobi villages.

Raising an eyebrow, she picks up the scroll while biting her thumb and smears blood over the seal to activate it. Once activated she's pulled into a gen-jutsu that looked to be a memory.

Looking around she sees that she's in the Land of Snow and the woman from the photo is right next to her, wearing a Leaf headband, talking to four men that wore the same headbands as the ones in the box.
