Nik wrapped his arm around Lydia, both of them watching a serial killer documentary on her phone. "Why do you like serial killers?" Nik asked with a chuckle. "They're interesting. And I like to know if they had a reason or if they were just purely evil." Lydia responded. Nik sat up and looked down at her. "If you're gonna be bad, be bad with a reason. Otherwise it's not worth forgiving." Lydia said, looking him in the eyes. Nik lightly grabbed her face and kissed her sweetly. "You are the best person I will ever know." Nik said. Lydia smiled up at him and pulled him in for another kiss before falling asleep in his arms. Lydia woke up and sat on Nik's lap in their bed. "I wish I could have spent more time in Colorado," Lydia said. "We can go," Nik said, "I could take you. If you wanted." "You don't have to take me anywhere, I-" "If you want to go somewhere I'm going to take you. I have the ability to do that." Nik said with a chuckle. "Okay..." Lydia sighed. "You know I'm loaded right?" Nik asked. "Yeah, but you don't need to get me stuff and take me all these places..." "I want to take you all these places and get you all these things," Nik said, flipping on top of Lydia. "Fine fine..." Lydia sighed before quickly asking, "are we all going to go?" "If you want." Nik said. Lydia quickly nodded her head yes. "Then we'll all go," Nik chuckled, "start packing and I'll tell the others." "Okayyy, thank you, Nikki!!" Lydia said sweetly. "You're welcome," Nik laughed as he walked out the door. Lydia immediately jumped up and began packing. Nik ran down the stairs to tell Elijah and Rebekah of the news. They all packed and got ready to go to. Nik, Elijah, and Rebekah stood in the front room while Lydia was getting ready to go. "I'm going to tell her when we get to the house. I set us up with the house and hotel rooms in case she says no and we can't come in." Nik said. "Are you sure this is the time?" Rebekah asked. "She needs to know." Nik said. "Niklaus, this may not be the time to tell the girl that the man she's dating is the thing that can kill her," Elijah said. "It has to be," Nik said. "What has to be?" Lydia asked as she walked in the room.

"Half price coffee day at Starbucks!" Rebekah blurted our. "FUCK YEAH LETS GO!" Lydia screamed. Nik and Lydia got in a black Tahoe and Elijah and Rebekah got in another and they were off to Colorado, making coffee stops along the way. They made it into Colorado and were driving down the highway, looking for their exit. Lydia curled up in the seat, looking at Nik. "Yes, Love?" Nik asked with a chuckle. "Nothing," Lydia said, "you're just fun to look at." "Right," Nik laughed as he turned on the exit. They pulled up to the house and Lydia dragged her things inside and Nik stood on the doorstep. "What are you doing?" Lydia asked, "Com-" "No. Don't invite me in yet, Love. You need to know something." Nik said. Lydia's body tensed up. "What?" She asked, her teeth clenched. "I'm Niklaus Mikaelson," Nik sighed, "the Original Hybrid." Lydia gasped and took a step back, covering her mouth slightly. "But," Nik quickly spoke, "my wolf is gone. My mother cursed it away from me and I can't turn now I'm just a vampire and I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I didn't want you to leave and I honestly like you and I just... I just don't want you to leave me like everybody else." Lydia's eyes filled with tears. "You tricked me," Lydia said. Nik looked down sadly at his shoes. "You're all vampires. Original vampires. You tricked me. How could you trick me!? I thought you cared! Why would you do that!? You're a MONSTER!" Lydia yelled. "I did care. I do care. I love you." Nik said softly. "I'm going to bed." Lydia said, slamming the door in his face. "I'm sorry." Nik whispered before speeding to the car and driving to the hotel. Lydia walked up the stairs in the house Nik had rented for all of them and laid down in a bed and stared at the ceiling, tears slowly falling from her eyes.
Lydia rolled on her stomach and whipped out her phone.
Nik walked into his hotel room to find Rebekah and Elijah sitting on the bed, looking at him hopefully. "It didn't work the way we hoped," Nik said. "Well, give her time. I'm sure she'll come around." Rebekah said. Nik shook his head and sat on the bed. Rebekah's phone vibrated with a message from Lydia. L: so you are all Original Vampires? R: Yes. L: why didn't you tell me sooner? R: we didn't want you to leave. You make Nik better and like he was when he was human. He's happy with you and with him happy we might all get a chance to wake up and be happy. L: is there more of you? R: yes. Our brothers Kol and Finn and our father Mikael. L: okay, look. I'm going to call Nik back over but I'm gonna need a while before you and Elijah come okay? R: Deal. Niks phone rang. "Hello," Nik answered. "If you truly cared, bring you and your things back here as soon as you can." Lydia said before hanging up. Nik stuck his phone in his pocket and grabbed his suitcase, leaving the hotel with out a word. He pulled up to the house and saw Lydia sitting on the porch, waiting for him. She stood up and he heard her breath hitch when he started walking towards her. She took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes. "I don't care what you are because you're still you and I'm sorry about what I said earlier," Lydia's eyes began tearing up, "because you're not a monster, you're you and- an-and I'm in love with you." Nik's eyes were wide as Lydia looked up into them. She lightly grabbed his face and kissed him, slowly wrapping her arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her back. When they pulled away Lydia grabbed his hands and she slowly backed into the house. "Please come in," She whispered. Nik stepped in the gigantic house slowly and closed the door behind him. "So your mom took away your wolf?" Lydia asked quietly. Nik nodded, clenching his jaw. "We'll get it back," Lydia said. Nik looked at her, unsure she had said what she said. "And we'll wake up your brothers and I'll stand by your side through it all. I promise," she finished. Nik kissed her again, completely and totally in love with her.
