Lydia sat with Nik in a room, watching the bags fill with Elena's blood.

"I have a really bad feeling about this," Lydia grumbled.

"It'll all be fine," Nik responded.

Lydia looked up at him, "No, it won't. We need to take what we have and get out now."

"No, we need all we can get."

"And I need you alive," Lydia snarled.

Nik raised an eyebrow, "You can't seriously be worried about that."

"Nik, they have a plan," Lydia responded, "if my calculation is correct, they're going to come to get Elena and rip your heart out, and it'll be like you being daggered pretty much. You know, all grey. I'd need to get your heart and feed you blood and make sure they didn't fuck with you too bad to get out of all of that."

Nik sighed.

"Please? I want to bypass all of that. We can figure out another way to put Ric down. We find out how to unlink him and Elena, dagger him, drop him in the ocean... and be on our merry way. We can try to make an agreement with the Elena-gang," Lydia pleaded.

"No," Nik said once again.

"Well, when they rip your fucking heart out, that is not my problem. I have other things to worry about like the fact that I lost my memory, the fact that oh I have a kingdom that I haven't gone back to because my head is so far up your ass, I could have just avoided this entire situation, but no. We had to be assholes instead of attempting to go about this the right fucking way. Of course."

Lydia shook her head and stood up.

"Wait, where are you going?" Nik asked.

"To my castle, Niklaus. Call me when you figure out how to get your heart back in your chest because this is all too much," Lydia replied, "it's boring because it is literally the same thing over and over. It's getting to be too much because none of you want to listen to a damn thing I say or anything that would make peace. It's either your way or the fucking highway. Well, I'm done with YOUR plotting and scheming... it's BORING. Call me when something exciting happens."

"Love," Nik started to say.

Lydia vanished.

Nik sat back and sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Lydia appeared inside the front doors of her castle. Her guards bowed to her, as did the various members of her court. Her sister, Cheryl, smiled as she handed Lydia her crown.

"I know that things are a little rough between you and the rest of the family, but we have not forgotten that you are the real queen and the only one that has been able to make these lands really flourish," Cheryl said.

Lydia smiled sadly for a moment, "Thank you for watching the throne for me."

Cheryl nodded before apparating away.

Lydia sighed, walking towards her throne, her clothes quickly changing into a dress, her hair going up into a bun, her crown resting upon her head.
