I'm Packing Up My Crayons And Leaving!

Nik sat in his bed, Lydia asleep beside him, and fiddled with the ring on his necklace. He had put her in danger again. He knew he had to leave, but she wouldn't let him. She told him that she needed him by her side to help her with what she is... even though she had it all completely figured out. He wanted to make sure that he would NEVER put her in danger again and her pack had really grown on him in the past few months he's been there. They treated him differently than anyone ever had, they didn't see him as a big bad monster and part of him loved that. Lydia rolled over, putting her face in Nik's lap, and groaned as she woke up. She opened her eyes and sat up. Nik was looking away from her looking sadder than she had EVER seen him... she also doesn't really remember much but still. She sat on his lap and made him look at her, he still didn't look happy.
"If you don't smile I'm shoving your face into my boobs!" Lydia half yelled.
Nik laughed.
"See there's a smile," Lydia cooed.
Nik rolled his eyes.
Lydia kissed him before wrapping her arms around him.
"What're we going to do with every problem happening in this town?" She sighed, "we have the homicidal lizard and Allison's grandfather and risk of exposure and I don't want you to get hurt or anything."
"Don't worry about me, love. I can't die," he said, "anyway I should be the one worrying about you. You're the one all caught up in it because of your pack."
"Well you're always with me and I don't want them to come after you because of that," Lydia said.
"Don't worry about me, love. I have to go back to Mystic Falls soon anyways," he sighed.
"I'd say I would go with you," Lydia sighed, "but I DO NOT want anything to do with Mystic Falls... or Caroline Forbes who said that you two were together when I mean... look at what we've been doing."
"God no I'm not anything with Caroline. I've never done anything with her, the only reason she's alive is because someone I care about very much doesn't want her to die just yet," Nik said.
"Good, cause she keeps blowing up my DMs on instagram. Her and Damon Salvatore who keeps hitting on me and I'm just like nah," Lydia said disgustedly as she sat up, "sent me a dick pick and I sent a shrimp emoji with a laughing face back," Lydia laughed, "I was like are you a small child?"
Nik laughed, "I don't want to know that, love."
"Sorry," Lydia laughed.
Nik smiled and shook his head before pulling her back down onto him.
"You're comfy," she whispered.
"I try," Nik chuckled.
"I wish I could stay with you forever," Lydia sighed.
"So do I, love," he replied, "but if you stay with me you'll be put in danger and hurt."
Lydia sighed, "As long as I don't have to be in Mystic Falls I will be fine, Niki. I can handle things better now because I turned or whatever."
Nik looked up at her, "I don't want you to have to be always looking over your shoulder though, love."
"I will be fine, my love," she told him.
Nik sighed and nodded, "Okay. Okay. Let's get dressed and go get coffee and head to your place."
"Ooo," Lydia smiled, "Niki, I love when you take charge. Gives me tingles."
Nik laughed and rolled his eyes.
Lydia walked into her house and saw Papa Stilinski.
"So what is she?" He asked stiles.
"She's part banshee and vampire and werewolf Hybrid with being born a Liba," he told his dad, "she can sense death."
"Can She sense that I'm about to kill you!?"
They both looked at Lydia who waved.
"Lovely conversation we're having boys," Lydia sighed.
"I figured he needed to know after the kanima attack last night," stiles sighed.
"There was an attack?" Lydia asked.
"Yeah, Melissa knows too now. It seems to only be going after Scott now, Gerard controls it now," stiles sighed.
"Rough, let's kill him!" Lydia smiled.
The two Stilinskis looked at her weird.
"What!? I kid, I kid!" She laughed.
They rolled their eyes as Lydia and Nik walked passed them. Nik and Lydia sat with Dean and Rebekah on the couch.
"What now?" Lydia asked.
"Now," Dean sighed, "we just fight it and try not to kill any humans in the process. I'm just so sick of this shit over here!"
"Same to that," Lydia sighed, "we all need to move."
"I might be getting a new job somewhere else," Papa Stilinski sighed.
They all looked at him.
"It'll be a while before I'm approved though," he said.
Lydia nodded her head in response.
Lydia held Nik's hand and relaxed into the couch.
Nik spent the whole rest of his day with Lydia until it was dark out. Lydia walked outside with him before he got into his car. He looked deep into her eyes and said nothing. Lydia's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Nothing, love," he whispered. He moved closer to her and cupped her cheeks with his two big hands and their faces slowly got closer until their lips were almost touching. Lydia let out a shaky breath before Nik pressed his lips to hers. He pulled away and continued to rest her forehead on hers.
"Rebekah and I are going back to Mystic Falls tonight, love," he admitted.
Lydia pulled away and looked up at him, her mouth slightly opened and her eyes beginning to water.
Nik sighed and looked down at his feet.
"What?" Lydia asked.
"We're going back to our siblings and our town to deal with the issues there. As much as I care for you I don't want you to have to do a long distance relationship or have to wait for what you need or anything like that. I don't want you to be in danger because of me and me be across the entire continent. You can call me if you are in danger and need help, you always can and even though I know you will never go to Mystic Falls, if you need a place to stay you will ALWAYS be welcome," Nik told her with a sigh.
Lydia looked down at her feet and grabbed her own hands and backed up.
"And I apologise that this is how it is now," he sighed.
Lydia looked up at him and a tears fell from her eyes.
"You're really leaving?" She cried.
Nik sighed and nodded.
"But were all gonna miss you," she cried, "I'm gonna miss you."
Nik sighed, "I'll miss all of you too," Nik walked closer to her and kissed her forehead, "and I'll miss you most of all."
She wrapped her arms around him and he did the same. Nik kissed the top of her head as she cried into him. After a few moments, Lydia looked up at him and placed a final kiss on his lips.
"Goodbye, Niklaus," She said in barely a whisper, not trusting her voice as she looked into his eyes.
A single tear fell from his eye as he replied, "Goodbye, Lydia."
He vanished.
She wrapped her arms around herself and looked around for a moment before returning to the inside of her house.
