(A/N: Just want you all to know I update in the middle of my school day lmao. I ain't got anything to do so why not.)
A month had passed and Lydia discovered so many things about her new self with the help of her friends. She discovered she'd still get her period which she hated! She thought the only good thing about being a vampire would be getting rid of THAT! But nope, she still gets it and a day after she goes into heat... yeah gross I know. No matter what she does though she can't stop thinking about Nik... mainly because Elizabeth comes over EVERY DAY and tells her how great he's doing and how he's shagging Caroline now and doesn't need Lydia anymore and how he thinks she's terrible and Lydia doesn't do much about it because she can't get rid of Elizabeth without killing her and she doesn't want to kill another family member. She still enjoyed coffee though, it was the only thing she still liked. Boy did she enjoy that coffee, it was the one thing that would never abandon her or treat her different. She thought of it like her, someone just wants to change it to enjoy it when she can drink it black and she enjoys it however it comes, she loves it in every way.
Lydia sat on the kitchen floor, helping Katherine make renovations to the 'Bastards Play House'.
"You know, Kitty," Lydia sighed, "when I said I was getting bored and needed a change I didn't mean renovate the playhouse."
"I know, but you're still having trouble controlling yourself and I don't want us to go somewhere new and get attacked by hunters. You've never had this much trouble learning something or adapting to something new. I don't get it," Katherine sighed.
"I don't have an anchor, mate," Lydia sighed, "even not killing you is hard sometimes."
Katherine clenched her jaw and looked down.
"Look, Kit," Lydia sighed, "it's not that I want to kill you, I just-"
"I know," Katherine interrupted, "you aren't like that. Fuck having someone be your anchor, Lyds," Katherine looked at her with a sense of meaning, "Be your own anchor."
Lydia looked up at Katherine. Kat nodded to her and Lydia got up slowly and walked to her, staring into her eyes for a moment before wrapping her arms around her.
"May we meet again," Kat whispered.
"May we meet again," Lydia replied before speeding out the door.
Lydia sat down at a table in the coffee shop and sipped at her burning hot coffee, playing with Niklaus's ring that still hung around her neck, and pulling the new Loki comic book out of her bag, when a man wearing an eye-patch sat down in front of her.
"You're that Lydia Marin girl I've been trying so hard to find," he said.
"And you're that one guy that always says MOTHER FU-"
"I have something for you. Something you might like," Nick Fury said.
"And that would be?"
"Something to do to hold your interest," he said, "come stay and train with the Avengers."
"Pass," Lydia replied before taking a drink of her coffee.
"Loki will be there," Nick said.
"Loki isn't an Avenger," Lydia smirked, "he also isn't exactly my type."
"But he's a bad guy," Nick replied, looking at her comic.
"I don't like bad guys," Lydia replied, "well, not strictly bad guys. I like strong blond-haired, blue-eyed, British boys. Always have always will."
"Thor has an accent and he's blonde and blue-eyed, Loki has the attitude, Steve is blonde and blue eyes," Nick said.
"I'll think on it," Lydia replied rolling her eyes.
