Lydia woke up in the Jeep, Nik rubbing small circles on her hand as he drove with his other. She sat up. "Where are we?" Lydia asked sleepily. "Chicago, love," Nik replied softly. Lydia nodded before looking at Nik, smiling as she watched him focus. They pulled over by a warehouse. The three of them got out of the car and walked into the warehouse. Lydia grabbed Nik's arm, one hand holding his and the other holding him close to her chest, as they walked.

"What are we doing here?" Stefan asked.

Nik smirked and turned them to look at Stefan.

"I know how much you loved it here," Nik chuckled, "bringing back memories of your good old ripper days?"

"Blacked out for most of them..." Stefan replied, looking away, "A lot of blood, a lot of partying. The details are a blur."

"Well that is a shame! The details are what make it a legend!" Nik smiled, "Word was the rippahhh of Monterrey got  lonely, so he escaped to the city for comfort. It was Prohibition. Everything was off limits then," Nik chuckled lightly, "which made everything so much fun."

"Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it," Stefan replied as he crossed his arms, "like I said, I don't remember most of it."

Lydia rolled her eyes before looking up at Nik.

"Why are we here, my love?" Lydia mumbled.

"To see my favourite witch," Nik replied, "to see if the problem truly is Doppelganger blood or something else."

Lydia glared at him.

"You know I'm a witch right?" Lydia asked.

Nik's eyes went to the ground and widened a fraction.

"She's my second favourite witch then...?" Nik replied questioningly

Lydia rolled her eyes.

"Why the fuck are we in this warehouse then?" Lydia asked, completely irritated.

"Uh-" Nik started before being cut off by Lydia calling someone.

"Hey Blue," Lydia said, "Do I still have a house in Chicago or did we sell it?"

"You still have a house," Blue replied," we sold the one in Cincinnati."

"Send me the address?"

"Yeah, hold on."

The call ended and Lydia led them to the car and drove to the address Blue texted her.

"Jesus," Stefan said as he saw the house.
