"You look marvellous," Kol smirked at Lydia
"Thanks bruh," Lydia replied.
Nik glared at Kol.
Lydia looked at Finn.
"You look different without the long hair," she said.
"Good different?" Finn asked.
Lydia nodded.
Finn smiled lightly at her before leaving the room.
"He's not much of a talker is he?" Lydia sighed as she took a seat by Rebekah.
"So what are you wearing tonight?" Rebekah asked.
Lydia looked at Nik.
"Nik, what am I wearing tonight?" Lydia asked.
"I'll go pick it up in an hour, love," Nik smiled, "don't worry."
Lydia smiled back at him and then she felt a cold hand on her shoulder that reached up and put her hair behind her ear.
"It's so lovely to see you again, Lydia," Esther said.
Lydia's face hardened as her body broke out in goosebumps.
"I'm hoping we can put our past behind us for the ball tonight," Esther stated.
Lydia looked at Nik and hesitantly agreed with Esther.
"Good," Esther smirked, "I look forward to seeing you tonight."
"I'll make sure my dress shows enough back for you, Esther," Lydia hissed.
Esther glared down at her and exited the room.
Lydia looked at Nik.
"I want my hair up tonight and a dress that reveals what she did to me," Lydia told him.
Nik clenched his jaw and nodded.
Kol changed the subject.
"Does anyone else hear an extra heart beat or is it just me?" He asked.
"I hear it too," Rebekah replied.
Elijah nodded in agreement.
Lydia sighed and stood up and exited the room, Nik following quickly behind her.
Lydia climbed back into the bed and pulled her knees to her chest.
"I feel sick," she said.
"Do you need a bucket?" Nik asked.
"No," she replied, "I'll be fine."
Nik picked the letter back up and looked at it.
"It says you're 13 weeks," he told her.
She nodded, "I know."
"After tonight we can go figure out things about it if you'd like, and just forget the stress of my family," Nik told her.
She nodded.
"Wait," he said, "didn't you get wasted?"
"It's a liba thing, it'll be fine. All libas drink heavily with pregnancy to ensure their baby won't be a pussy. I mean, now that I know I'll tone it down. Like a glass every other week or something. I don't know, Niki," Lydia replied.
Nik nodded.
"What colour is my dress?" She asked.
"Blue," he replied, "like your eyes."
Lydia looked up at him and smiled.
"Go get it," she told him.
"I thought you didn't want to be in this house without me," he replied, his eyebrows knitting together.
Lydia heard a car door close and looked out the window to see Evan.
"My rides here," she told him.
She pecked his lips and quickly went down the stairs and opened the door before Evan could get to it and stepped outside.
"You ready?" He asked.
Lydia smiled and nodded before they both walked and got in the car and drove away.
"Your girlfriend seems to be interested in another man," Kol smiled.
"No she isn't," Nik smiled confidently before leaving as well.
A few hours later, Nik returned with a dress for Lydia. He texted her.
N: I have the dress and am now home
L: I'll be there after bit.
Lydia pulled up ten minutes later and followed Nik's scent to his room.
"Where did you end up running off to?" Nik asked as she stepped in his room.
"Chipotle," she smiled.
Nik chuckled.
"It's almost time to get ready for this ball," Nik smiled at her.
Lydia looked at the bed and her jaw dropped.
"You like it?" Nik asked.
Lydia nodded and smiled happily.
"Good," he smiled before kissing her forehead, "we should probably get ready."
