Brooklyn- It's been hard. The days didn't seem to get better. No matter what he was the only one you could ever love. He was who you wanted to be with. But you couldn't be with him. You had broke up with him and you couldn't go back. He could have found someone else already. He could hate you now. This was how it had to be. You and him just weren't meant to be together. The more you thought of this the more you believed it was true. You guys weren't meant to be together. He deserved so much better. But in the back of your mind there was a voice repeating that you could never love anyone else but him. You tried to shake that thought off. You tried to not think about him but it was the only thing that ran through your head. The thing that kept you up for hours. It was everything. You avoided seeing the boys. You avoiding checking up on them and seeing what they were doing. The chances of seeing Brooklyn were too high. You had been home for weeks now. You only left when you absolutely had to and now was one of those times. You were out of food and needed to go to the store to get more for the next few weeks or just the next few days. You left your kitchen and went to your room. You changed into something a little warmer than what you had on. You put your hair up and walked out to your car. When you got in you made sure you had everything and you pulled out your list and did a quick glance of it before driving to the nearest store. You got out and walked into the store holding onto your wallet tightly. You grabbed a cart, setting your wallet in it and looked at your list. You went and grabbed the first few things on your list. Then you got to an isle they had rearranged. Of course the one item you really wanted was on the top shelf. You reached up trying to grab it with at least the tips of your fingers. If you could do that you could pull it off. It was no use. All you did was push it back farther. You next option was to climb the shelf but you hated doing that. It always made you feel so short. You could ask for help but you hated asking for help. More than anything. You'd do almost anything else before asking for help so you instantly rolled that one out of your mind. You decided to reach up one more time and attempt to grab the item you wanted. This time someone came behind you and grabbed the item off the shelf. They were behind you so you hadn't seen them come over. "Here, let me help you," the voice said from behind you. You froze. You refused to turn around. You refused to show him the tears that were forming. You didn't want him to feel sorry for you. This was your fault. "Y-you can take them. You got them," you said quietly still refusing to turn around. "No, I don't want them Y/N. I seen someone trying to get them and I decided to help. So please, just take them," Brook said. You turned around and your eyes stayed on the ground. You grabbed the item from his hand and set them in your cart. You thanked him and then walked off. You finished getting the rest of the stuff and got in line. They scanned all your items and the amount showed up. You opened your wallet and you pulled out the money. As you counted it you realized you were short. You were short by only a small amount. You looked through the list for something to put back. You decided on a loaf of bread. "Could I, umm... put a loaf of bread back?" you asked quietly. As the cashier was getting ready to take it off, Brooklyn stepped in yet again. "No, you don't have to do that. I'll pay for it." You looked over at him without even trying to and you regretted it instantly. Brooklyn's normally cheerful smile was still there. He still looked like his happy self but if you truly knew him, you could see the sadness in his eyes and it killed you. Before you knew it Brooklyn was telling the lady to scan his stuff too and he'd pay for all of it. You tried to tell him no but he insisted and the cashier listened to him. Brooklyn paid for it all and then helped you carry all the stuff out to your vehicle. You finished putting all the stuff in the backseat and you thanked him. Then before you could stop yourself you were hugging him. You had tears rolling down your cheeks and you were apologizing to him over and over again. He just shushed you and held you close to him, slowly rocking you guys back and forth. You looked up at him and there were a few tears running down his cheeks. "Y/N, I can't do this anymore. I'm so sorry for everything I did and everything you had to put up with. I know I'm not the most mature or the easiest to deal with but I need you. I need you so much. You make me a better person and I...." Brooklyn was saying but you interrupted him, "I love you Brooklyn." He smiled brightly and then kissed you. You guys just stood there, in the parking lot for awhile in each others embrace just wanting to be with one another.
