You wake up due to the dropping temperatures. You pull your arms inside your sweatshirt and curl into a ball shivering.
"(Y/N) take my hoodie" tyler says
"No, then you'll be cold" you reply.
"I don't care"
"Well I do, Tyler" you reply "I'm not taking it"
With that you close your eyes and try to fall asleep again. All of a sudden you feel tyler getting closer and wrapping his arm around you.
"Tyler? What are you doing?" You ask
"I'm just trying to keep you warm." He says "and me"
You don't say anything and fall back asleep in his arms
You wake up and notice tyler isn't cuddled up to you anymore. You open your eyes expecting tyler to be sleeping next to you still but he isn't.
"Tyler?" You whisper.
No reply. You sit up so fast you get a little dizzy. Your heart beats fast and feel tears in your eyes.
"Tyler?" This time you shout
Just as you start to panic you see him and Josh run over to you.
"(Y/n) are you okay?" Tyler asked hugging you.
"Yeah I'm fine, you just scared me." You say as a tear slips out of your eye.
"It's fine I'm right here."
"I told you (y/n), I'm not letting you or Tyler go anywhere." Josh speaks up "I promise."
Tyler smiles at Josh and they make some inside joke you don't get. You look around and noticed that it's kinda bright outside.
"Hey josh shouldn't we get moving?" You ask
"Yes we should but I just thought I'd let you guys sleep a bit longer." He says
You three wake everyone else up and get ready to leave. You exit the building and notice vultures circling the place. You give Tyler a worried look and he takes your hand to hold it. You begin to wonder what all these abandoned buildings were for and why up in the mountains. Tyler lets go of your hand and tells you he's going to talk with josh and that he'll be back. You don't mind as long as he's with someone. You enjoy the veiw alone and breathe in the fresh air. You're not that high up and you're right by a huge trench. There's a bunch of different kinds of yellow flowers. It makes you think about the yellow tape everyone has on them. You never asked why and now you're very curious. You move to the front of the group to find josh and tyler but you only find josh.
"Where's tyler?" You ask
"I thought he was with you?" He asks
"No, he said he was going to talk to you."
He stopped and gave you a worried look.
"He never came to talk to me" Josh says worryingly
You feel sick all of a sudden and it feels like your heart dropped to your stomach. Josh looks past you with wide eyes.
"What is it?" You say as you turn around.
Tyler is in the trench. He looks confused like he doesn't even know how he got there. He looks up at us and yells something. No one can hear him clear enough so je just throws his hands up. You're so scared you look around for safe ways to get down to him. Josh notices this and shakes his head.
"Too dangerous" he says
"We can't just leave him down there alone" you reply
"I know but we'll find a way to get him back up." He says
Your face goes pale and your knees give out. He's coming. He's going to get Tyler. You see him he's right there. Tyler starts running but he's not fast enough and everything goes black and you hit the floor.
