You form a line at the trench. Tears streaming down your face and flower petals in your hand. The banditos stand in silence. After a couple minutes the banditos release the yellow flower petals and watch them slowly fall down in to the trench.
You head back to the cave with the others. You talk, you eat, you mourn. You never really talk about his death. You can't. It's too hard.
Josh walks over to you with puffy red eyes.
"Hey, (Y/N)" Josh says
"Hi" you reply
"How're you holding up?"
"I want to be positive and say that I am fine but I'm not"
"I know. Me too. It almost doesn't seem real" Josh says
You talk about the plan for the next few days and it kind of bums you out. Josh wants to get moving tomarrow. He thinks that they will be coming for you next. That scares you a little. What if?
It's getting late and you're exhausted from the crying. You have a terrible headache and the room seems to be spinning. It's a cold night and the sky is clear. You star gaze and try to not think about the recent events. You just want to forget and shut off your emotions. You don't actually want that. The only thing you want is Tyler back.
"What are you doing (Y/N)? It's freezing" Josh says running up to me
"I'm fine I'm just looking at the stars" you reply
"Just come back inside, please. You don't want to be sad and sick"
"True"
You go back inside and find a place alone. You pull out your notebook that was once Tylers. You flip through the lyrics and the pictures. You have always loved a specific picture the most. It was a man with red eyes and black smeared on his hands and neck. You never noticed before but it actually kind of lookes like Tyler. You run your hand across the page and let a tear fall. You flip to an empty page and start writing. At first it was about how much you miss him but then it turned out to be what it would be like if he was still here. You wrote it in song format to add to the collection. You finished and hugged the book up to your chest, hugging it as if it were him.
You decided to head back and noticed people were sleeping. Josh was up just staring off. You head over to him and give him a hug.
"Come on Josh, time to get some sleep" you tell him
He doesn't say anything. He lays down next to you and shuts his eyes.
As soon as you shut your eyes you fell asleep. You were exhausted.
"(Y/N) wake up" a familiar voice tells you.
No it's not possible.
You open your eyes and there he was.
"Oh my god! Tyler? You're alive?" You pretty much yell
It couldn't be. This isn't real. You run up to him and give him a hug. Maybe it is real. You kiss him and pull him closer. Pretty damn real.
"(Y/N)? Of course I'm alive. Bad dream?" Tyler asks
No way was it a dream. Tyler was dead. Or I'm going crazy. You notice all the weird looks you are getting so you lie.
"Yes, terrible dream" you insist
"I'm sorry hun, talk about it later?" He asks
"Sure"
"Okay, Josh and I are going to go out to get some supplies but I'll hurry back because I know how much you miss me" he teases
He gives you a tight hug and kisses your forehead. He leaves with Josh all giddy and happy.
He's alive. He talked about how much you miss him. It has got to be the notebook.
END OF CHAPTER
So I know it's a short chapter and I'm sorry. I promise I'll make up for it.
