Moving towards the end of the long, dark tunnel. As your hands guided you through the tunnel, your eyes spilled salty tears from them. It stings your eyes and you want to curl into a ball and fall asleep. Fall asleep and wake up to the way things used to be.
You see the end of the tunnel and you struggle as your eyes try to adjust to the light.
You exit the tunnel but you still feel guilty. Guilty that you aren't there yet.
You focus on the image of Tyler's face after your first kiss.
"Please, Tyler, don't be afraid, I'm almost there" You think
"(Y/N)!" You hear Tyler's voice shout.
You stand up so fast you get dizzy. You look around for him but he's not here. You sob. You must be going crazy. Your chest feels empty but your body feels heavy.
You leave the building with your head down.
"Why the long face?"
You look up and it's the man who took Tyler. You roll your eyes and walk past him.
"Just came to say you have one hour" Brendon says
"No problem. I'm almost there" You tell him
"Well, I thought you stopped last night. Look, even brought you a little lighter to help you through that tunnel" He says as he tosses the lighter to you.
"I'll be there in 30" You say flatly.
He says nothing and disappears.
"Finally"
You say to yourself
You walk for a bit and approach the city outside Dema. Your adrenaline and fear is kicking in but you keep moving. You walk up to the front entrance and it's wide open. Vultures flying in the air and walking around eating others. Strangely it doesn't bother you.
You walk through the front entrance and see the banditos lined up. You're confused as you look around to see them perfectly fine and yellow stripped from them. They stare at you with a blank face.
"Welcome back, (Y/N)"
You jerk your head in the direction of the raspy voice.
Nico.
"What did you do?" You ask
"Having fun with your new powers?" Nico laughs
You are annoyed that he ignored your question.
Your eyes find Josh in the line of banditos and you walk up to him.
"Josh. Where's Tyler?" You ask
He tilts his head.
"Don't bother" Nico Says.
"Why? What did you do?" You storm up to him
He no longer has an effect on you.
"I have a question" He says
"You haven't been answering mine"
"Miss this?"
Brendon walks up with a notebook in hand and hands it to Nico.
