In Dema With Tyler

After taking the yellow tape and introducing yourself to the group, you head out with the others. You enter the the building they went in yesterday. It was dark and damp. Water drips from the ceiling and its kinda calming. It fills the silence.

"Think its safe to light the torches?" Says Josh asking the group.

Tyler looks at you. It's hard to read his expression but he looks nervous.

"How else are we going to find the tunnel?" A tall blonde girl asked "we've been through it but not in the dark."

"Tyler was almost caught. We can not risk that again." Josh says

Tyler speaks up "Guys it's fine. We'll just have to hurry."

You give him a worried look and he just gives you a weak smile. They light the torches and you can finally see. You look at tyler and see the bags under his eyes. You regret sleeping first, he probably hasn't slept in ages. He notices you staring and he smiles again and gives you a playful wink. When the torches are lit they know exactly where the tunnel is and start walking at a fast pace. You begin to worry that you're very noticeable and will be caught any moment.

"Where does this lead to?" You whisper to tyler

You'd much rather talk to Tyler. You have always been nervous around groups of people, especially people you don't know.

"Trench." He says. "Hey if I get.. You know caught. Keep going."

"What? No. Why?"

"I have been trying to get out for so long and I keep ending up back at dema."

"I'm not leaving you behind. I know we just met but I care about you and so do they."

"Thanks (y/n)"

You reach for his and and walk together. Hand in hand you hold on tight, afraid to lose him. You continue along the tunnels and begin to feel claustrophobic as the tunnel gets smaller. Tyler notices and squeezes your hand a bit.

"It's okay, it doesn't get much smaller." He whispers

"Okay" you don't mean to but it comes out shakey.

The tunnel finally ends and it leads into another huge building. You smile at tyler proud you've made it this far. He gives the smile back but he doesn't seem as proud as you. You didn't expect him to be either. You talk to different people in the group. Josh comes over to talk to you.

"Hey, How are you?" He says

"I'm great actually I'm so glad to be out of there. Thank you so much." You reply

"Anytime" he says flashing you a smile.

"Hopefully my only time." You give him a weak smile

"Tyler told you huh? Well I guarantee that both of you are out for good. I'll make sure of it."

"Thank you."

"Of course. We'll be staying here the night and start moving first thing in the morning. Get some rest and if you need anything come find me."

"Okay" you smile at him walking away.

You find Tyler and he looks exhausted.

"You need to sleep" I say. "I'm still kinda mad you didn't wake me up."

"Please don't be. I just wanted to make sure you got some rest."

"Aww Tyler I'm not actually mad but you need sleep. Like now."

"Wow okay sassy" he says snapping his fingers. "Okay I'm very tired." He giggles

Everyone lays down for the night except Josh. You look over at Tyler and he is knocked out. You walk over to josh and sit next to him.

"You need sleep too ya know." I say

"Yah but somebody's got to be on the lookout." He says "The path is well hidden but the bishops just recently found the building to it so we need to be extra careful."

"Is it just you staying up or do you have someone else helping you?"

"I have a few other people. I'm fine (y/n)." He sighs "go get some rest."

You lay back down next to tyler and close your eyes. Even if we do get out of here, what's after?

A/n. I'm just doing this for fun I have no Idea what I'm doing. There is going to be a lot of errors and a lot of cringy moments I'm sorry. Please give some suggestions. I have multiple ideas on how and what I want this story to become but I'm definitely open to suggestions.
