Melody looked over at Alexander, her heart was racing. Alexander quietly murmured to her, "When I say run, run to the back door, don't worry about me..." Melody nodded, turning her attention back to Vincent. He had gotten closer. She could see his blue eyes, glowing in the darkness. His wet skin reflected from the glow, something was wrong with the left side of his face. "Run." Alexander commanded.
Melody suddenly shot towards the back door, running as fast as she could, rain whipping her face. She slipped on the wet leaves and fell, hitting her head on the ground. She looked behind her and saw Alexander trying to keep Vincent from reaching her. Vincent broke free from Alexander's hold and rushed towards her. He was about three feet away from her when Alexander suddenly called out, "Prohibere unum qui est, et bestiis saevis, nolite pueri et daemonium a scribendo deterruit!"
Vincent tried to touch Melody but something flung him across the property, back to the oak tree.
Melody stared in shock, but then got up and ran to the church doors....
