The next day Owen was reading in the living room, his wife was out with Dominick for a fun day. Gabrielle was sitting next to him, glaring at him. "What is it, Gabrielle?" Owen asked, glancing at her.
"I don't trust you, not one bit. You're too...nice. It's unsettling." Gabrielle told him.
"Hm, is that so?" He questioned.
"Yes." She replied.
"I'm not trying to replace your dad, if that's why you don't trust me." Owen told the young girl, who was still glaring at him.
"Oh I know, I just don't trust you with my mom, or Dominick."
Owen put down his book and looked at her. "You know I would never do anything to hurt them. Ariana is my one true love, Dominick is my only son, and you're basically my daughter, I love all three of you with all my heart." Owen looked at her steadily. Gabrielle didn't respond and she went back to her drawing. Owen went back to reading his book....
