When Melody got downstairs to the kitchen, she noticed that no one was home. Her mom's car wasn't in the driveway, and everyone's shoes but hers were gone. Hm....weird. They probably went out to eat without me again...
"They did. Your dumb dad came upstairs and told that vile creature that they were going out." Vincent told the young girl.
"Oh okay, I'll just have toast then..." Melody said, disappointed.
"No, you're gonna eat chicken nuggets with cottage cheese, and you're GOING to LIKE it. You need to stop relying on bread to feed you!" Vincent ordered Melody. Said person sighed.
"Fine." She got out the chicken nuggets and put some in the microwave. While she waited she also got out the cottage cheese.
Melody looked at Vincent, watching him. Her thoughts drifted towards who he was before he was a ghost. He never talked about it, and when she tried to talk to him, he got angry. Melody didn't like Vincent when he was angry, he got violent.

Vincent looked at Melody, she was staring at him but her mind was in a different place. He knew what she was thinking about, that look on her was too familiar to him. He growled under his breath a bit, he hated it when she tried to think about his past. He'd rather forget about it to be honest. His past was exactly that, a past. It didn't matter anymore, what mattered was what the future held for them. He turned away from her and looked out the window, smirking to himself a bit. Only if it all goes according to plan...

Melody was reading in the living room an hour later. "You should probably get some sleep, you don't want to be a walking zombie at school again." Vincent commented, sitting next to her on the chair. Melody had the TV turned on for him.
"Yeah yeah okay fine." Melody closed her book and shut the TV off. She headed upstairs with Vincent following behind her...
