"No I mean I love you"
"..." Kaycee failed to speak
"For years before I even knew what love was I loved you, you are the first thing that comes to my mind when I wake up and last to leave when I go to sleep, I didn't know how to tell you as you've become my best friend" I said "I'm sorry I kept this secret from you"
"Sean..."
"But now you're with Gabe and I realized that I was just too slow, I love you Kaycee Rice"

"You don't have to say anything" I managed to get out "Goodnight"
I head towards the door as her not saying anything means the end of tonight
"Sean!" Kaycee yelled at me "No!"
"No what?"
"You are my best friend you can't be in love with me!" said
"You think I purposely did this to myself?!"
"You made a promise to always be by my side and always tell the truth to me, and then you just want to confess to me that you've been lying to me this whole time?!" Kaycee said, "Are you even my best friend?"
"Of course, I am, what are you-"
"Then why say it? We were perfectly fine before this!" she said
"So, what you want me to hide my feelings for you forever?"
"..."
"Sorry I had to tell you, actually I'm not sorry as this is way overdue"
"What did you think I would just leave Gabe for you?" She asked
"No"
In a perfect world though... Yes
"Do you want me to say I love you back?"
"No!"
It would have been nice...
"Then why? Why now!"
"You are breaking my heart!" I said as I put my hand to my head as I'm letting my emotions get out of control again

"Every day since I got back from China I had to see the woman I love, be with another man right in front of me, and all our friends," I said, "Do you how stupid, how angry, how embarrassing that made me feel?"
"..." she doesn't respond
"Shit everybody knows," I said as with Josh knowing I'm convinced everyone literally knows as I apparently have been too obvious
"What did I say about cur-" Kaycee started to say
"I'm pissed!" as I'm not breaking my promise of no cursing around her unless I'm pissed

"...At myself ...There have been numerous times I could have told you but I was afraid, afraid that one wrong move I would not only lose the love of my life but my best friend, and for the longest time my only friend"
"..."
"Looks like my fears were correct" I finished "Bye Kayc"
I left her house and headed straight towards mine running into it up to my room and fell on my bed
"I'm such an idiot..."

I didn't even know I was crying when he closed the door on his way out
I couldn't even say what I've been wanting to say for years
all because of my own personal problems
and timing...
