Afterschool

Kaycee Rice's POV

School was fun, it was the first time in a long time where everything felt normal, normal in a good way as all my friends are a bunch of weirdos but nothing was wrong, Julian didn't let his breakup bother him today, Tahani was even more bubbly than usual which was needed, Josh and Bailey got back together seamlessly to be fair they were only apart for not too long and still loved each other

Only thing was Sean was training Charity and her partner Andres today

So, that I don't worry about it I'm hanging with Josh and Bailey as Julian and Tahani decided to go to a party that Tati mentioned a while back

Big mistake

"We should get some froyo" Josh said to Bailey as they held hands walking in front of me

"But we haven't even had dinner," Bailey said back to him

"I have a taste for something sweet," Josh said

"I can give you something sweeter" Bailey tried to whisper back to him softly but I heard everything

I was the third wheel...

I guess it's karma as I know this had to have happened with everyone else with Sean and I but I can't even text anyone as Sean's busy, Tati Tahani and Julian are partying and Josh and Bailey are right here

"Kayc?" Bailey said getting me out of my thoughts

"Yeah? Sorry got in my head"

"You're not a third wheel Kaycee we're not on a date, we invited you for a reason," Josh said

"But I know you two just got back together and-"

"-Kaycee if we wanted the alone time we would have asked for it, now come on Josh needs food and I know you have to be hungry yourself," Bailey said extending her hand out

"OK!" I said as I was now between them interlocking arms with Bailey as Josh casually put his arm around me "Fambam!"

"Don't know how a black guy, a Korean girl, and a white girl can be family," Josh said "Let alone the Filipino-Mexican, Chinese-Japanese guy and the half white half black girl"

"Family is more than just blood Josh," Bailey said

"So, when you two move out to New York how often are you visiting?"

"Don't know yet, S-Rank is still a thing and we'll have to help out, we can get offers to teach whenever it happens, and Bailey will still have family down there..." Josh said trying to make a guess "Probably at least once a month"

"Good I thought we would have to fly out every chance we could get"

"No worries Kaycee, I will always be there when you need me, you're my sis," Bailey said

"Love you both"

Julian Deguzman's POV

Tati Tahani and I were at a party and it was fine but Tati ditched us the moment we arrived together leaving just me and Tahani

"I almost forgot why we don't go to these" Tahani said as we just stood outside a mosh pit of teens/young adults singing/yelling/jumping to the song playing

"Yeah, our squad is much more chill," I said "We're not even introverted this just doesn't excite us"

"I know! But I guess we're going to have to get used to it eventually, we're almost adults" Tahani said as she stood and lifted me up too

"What are you saying?"

"Want to get drunk?" She asked me so casually

"I don't kn-" I started to say until I saw Chloe dancing with another guy... "Please"

"Alright let's party!" she said

Sean Lew POV

Garage

The practice was going well

I see where Andres was struggling with as it wasn't strength it was just placement, so I had him practice with a bag to get an idea of where Charity would be when doing lifts and spins and such

"Thanks again," Charity said to me as we were watching Andres practice

"No problem, I'm just honored to help two people as talented as you two"

"That means a lot coming from you, you're like a genius," she said as I paid the compliment no mind

"Nah, you're the one who made this insane choreography," I said

"Thank you," she said softly

"Hey, can I use the bathroom?" Andres said putting the bag down

"I don't know, can you?" Charity said to him as she started laughing hard as I just laughed awkwardly as I just felt obliged to laugh along despite it being not a funny joke

"MAY I?!" Andres said

"Yeah, it's the second door on your left," I said as he nodded and walked out

"What time is it?" Charity asked as I was curious myself so I took my phone out

"Wow 9:48!" I said showing her the time on my phone for her to see herself

"We've been here awhile," she said "Cute pic of you and Kaycee"

"Thanks, it's from her birthday last year, it was just me her and Tahani for most of that day as we had to stall Kaycee as her parents got her a new car as a surprise and our other friends Julian Bailey and Josh helped set up the house, Tahani took the picture of us" I said smiling at that memory

"You're a good boyfriend," she said

"Any guy in your life? Andres?"

"Nope and ew," she said fake gagging as I chuckled "He's like my brother"

"Well I'm sure you'll find someone"

"You think so? I haven't had much luck, they're either assholes or already taken... like you"

"I'm positive, everyone meets their special someone at different times, I met Kaycee when I was five, my best friends Bailey and Josh met each other sophomore year, trust me it'll happened"

"Thanks, I needed that," Charity said hugging me tightly as I guess she really was concerned about her romantic life

"Sean?" I heard the extremely familiar voice said as I turned to the door to see Kaycee

"Kaycee it's not-" I tried to say as she took off
