Best Friends Day

Bailey Sok's POV

School was very quiet today, Sean wasn't here as he has a job to do for the rest of the week, Kaycee kept falling in and out of sleep as she and Sean had an all-nighter, Chloe was sick so Julian has just been on his phone texting her all day, Tati was hanging with her friends today as she's now going to bounce back and forth between them and us, just a quiet day

Lunch

"Food does make everything better," Kaycee said as she finished eating and is now more awake

"True"

"So, what are we doing to help celebrate your birthday?" Tahani asked as the game night got canceled due to Kaycee's family moving things to the lake house and Sean obviously not being up for it

"I don't know, my birthday was going to be at the lake house so most of the stuff is there," Kaycee said

"So, we have two days..." Julian said as we all began to think of ideas

"This is would be so much easier if Sean was here," I said "He usually finds something for all of us to do something with"

"Any ideas Josh?" Kaycee asked him

"Me? Why me?" Josh said

"You're Sean's guy best friend I figured you would know how to think like him," Kaycee said

"Wouldn't that be Julian?" Tahani said

"Julian's Sean dance best friend, they always freestyle and talk about concepts and other dance stuff, Josh fits more into the brother best friend," Kaycee said which just intrigued me

"Wait there are different kinds of best friends?"

"Yeah, of course, Sean's my childhood best friend and my number 1 best friend for example," Kaycee said "Tahani's my twin best friend as we're so much alike"

"I guess that makes Julian my older brother best friend" I mentioned as Julian looked confused "Calm down, but I can tell you about anything like I could with an older brother"

"Yeah but what about Sean?" Julian said

"Sean's my brother but he also could be the gay best friend that's not gay" I said as Josh, Tahani, and Julian started laughing "I guess since it was clear he was in love with Kaycee I never had to think about him potentially liking me or anything like that so I could talk about boys, Josh or anything with him"

"I could see that, Sean's my best friend's best friend," Tahani said "I wouldn't have met him or gotten close to him if not for you three haven't had our group get so close, we have our own inside jokes but who knows if it was just us two"

"Kaycee is like my let's just do something best friend," Julian said "Last year we used to always just get something to eat when everyone else was busy, not so much this year as time just hasn't been in our favor"

"Bailey's my media best friend we watch all the same shows and movies and YouTube videos," Kaycee said "Yup see we all have different reasons were best friends,"

"We kind of skipped Josh"

"No need to I have nothing to say," Josh said

"Come on! You've been with us long enough to have an opinion on us" Tahani said

"I do but..." Josh said as he probably doesn't want everyone to get sappy on him

"We promise not to comment after you say them," I said

"Fine... Julian's my goofy best friend as he always finds a way to make me laugh, Tahani's the little sister I always wanted, Kaycee's the best friend I lowkey hate but I can't imagine not being her friend, Sean's my opposite best friend as besides a few things we don't have much in common but we keep talking to each other, and Bailey's my best friend and my girlfriend" Josh said in one breath

"See he does love us," Tahani said as we all got up to hug Josh

"I hate hugs..." Josh commented as we all knew but we didn't care

"Okay, Josh what's the plan?"

"...We can each just hang out with Kaycee for about an hour tonight as tomorrow would be her day with her family" Josh suggested

"Not bad Josh," Julian said "Yeah Kaycee and I can get dinner like old times"

"Kaycee and I can do arts and crafts," Tahani said

"We can watch friends as I need to get caught up"

"...I guess we can go see a movie" Josh said

"Sounds great!" Kaycee said liking the idea "I just wished Sean wasn't so busy"

"...yeah" Josh commented as now I think somethings up

"Anything you want to tell me, honey?" I whispered to him

"Sean's trying to find a way to make it to her birthday" he simply whispered back to me "Don't tell Kaycee"

"Got it"
