Tuesday

Sean Lew's POV

Bus stop

Kaycee was running late, usually we would walk to the bus stop together but when I went to her door her mom said she was running late and to go to the bus stop without her

"Sorry I'm late, I usually don't do my hair," Kaycee said as she appeared to have straightened her hair

"It's fine, any reason?"

"Trying to impress you,"

Why is she being bolder, she was never this obvious... was she?

"Do you like my hair?" Kaycee asked me trying to show it off

I prefer it in her natural state of wavy/curly but a little white lie doesn't hurt

"Yeah it looks nice," I said

Kaycee and I know each other extremely well such as knowing when the other lies as we both have certain tells

So, while I figure these feelings things out I've been learning to tell white lies so I can get away with lying but without tipping Kaycee's lie detector

"Thank Sean!" She said meaning it worked... at least for now

Lunch

Ever since Tati and Chloe joined our table our group has mostly been duos

Tati and Tahani quickly became best friends as it seems whatever Tahani lacked with Kaycee and Bailey in interests and hobbies Tati had those and then some

Chloe and Julian are still in that honeymoon phase so they barely notice everyone else which was fine as I know how badly Julian wanted a girlfriend plus Chloe seems really fun

Josh and Bailey were never the couple that would be all over each other and had to let everyone know they were together as they're both usually chill and low-key people but they were a couple who spend a lot of time watching videos together so they ignored everyone by watching videos on each other phones

Leaving just...

"My birthday is in three days..." Kaycee very subtly said to me "Are you going to help celebrate with me?"

Kaycee always has some sort of build up until her actual birthday

It usually is hanging with friends then celebrate with family on her actual birthday

or

Spend time with family then party with friends on her actual birthday

I'm part of both given our long history

"I don't know... " I said

"Very funny Sean"

"I really don't know," I said "I got offered to direct this music video and it's a three-day process including your birthday"

It was true

"You know when my birthday is why would you accept it?!" Kaycee questioned me as she's clearly upset

"My agency did it"

That was a lie, I can't admit I messed up badly

"...Whatever"

"Don't be mad"

"I'm not mad!"

Thank goodness

"I'm disappointed"

"That's worse!"

"Hey, Bailey what video are you and Josh watching?" Kaycee asked

"Please don't ignore me," I said as she ignored me
