Sean Lew's POV

Lunch the next day

"They haven't spoken all day" Julian whispered to Bailey and Tahani about me and Kaycee

"What should we do?" Bailey asked

"No clue" Tahani said

"I can hear you" I said revealing I could hear them whisper about me

"Sorry" Bailey said

I saw Josh walking by with his lunch and after talking with him yesterday I felt obliged to be his friend

"Hey Josh, come sit with us" I said to Josh

It took some contemplating but Josh did turn and sit next to me surprising the whole table including Kaycee and Gabe

Our whole seating dynamic has changed it used to be me between Kaycee and Bailey

Now it's me between Josh and Julian and across from me is Bailey Tahani Kaycee and Gabe

"What is he doing here?" Tahani said

"We're cool," I said lightly nudging Josh showing no bad blood

"Gabe you want to get some candy?" Kaycee said to Gabe

"Of course honey," Gabe said as he kisses her in front of everyone again and they head to the school store

"Okay I can see how you could get mad" Josh said as even he could see having someone you like kiss someone else on the daily can be annoying

Everyone became silent again as no one wanted to bring it up

"I...confessed to Kaycee last night..." I decided to confront the elephant in the room

"When I said tell her I didn't mean that night," Josh said "You've had way too much adrenaline from the gym"

"Yeah well I felt I waited too long anyway," I said

"What did she say?" Julian asked

"What do you think? She's still with Gabe isn't she"

"Sorry Seanie" Tahani said

"Yeah well it's not like I thought everything would work out after I said it"

"Wait you told him to do this?" Tahani said to Josh

"I mean... yeah" Josh said

"What are you trying to do sabotage him?" Tahani said

"No," Josh said confused she even asked that

"Why tell him to confess to a girl that is seeing someone else?" Tahani asked as I'm now questioning myself the same thing

"Maybe because you three aren't good friends," Josh said

"What?!" Tahani said

"This whole time you all knew Sean loved Kaycee and not once did you encourage him to tell her even before Gabe," Josh said

"I mean..." Julian said

"In my eyes, you're no better than me for not telling him," Josh said "So sorry if I got to be the only to keep it real"

"How dare you-" Tahani started

"Ok let's calm down Josh is not a bad person," I said trying to keep things from getting out of hand

"Doubt it," Tahani said still being hostile

From what I know Josh is not evil or bad or even a dick he's just honest sometimes brutally honest which makes him seem like a jerk
