Chapter 14

"Brandon bring yo ass in here and help me!" I screamed from the living room.

"Dang Tiffany what you want now?" he asked, sounding annoyed.

I gave him a sweet smile because I knew I was being a hand full. "Come put some lotion on my feet." I said busting into laughter.

He looked at me like I was crazy which only made me laugh more. "Please you know I can't reach them because of my belly." I said while making a puppy face.

"Man come on here." Brandon said snatching the lotion out my hand.

"Where yo baby daddy at? He the one supposed to be doing this shit." I rolled my eyes at him.

"He's getting everything situated for today so your stuck doing his job!"

Brandon mumble something under his breath and continued to lotion my feet. Once he finished the doorbell rang and he went to go answer it.

Zakiya and Allison walked through the door talking loud as always. I shook my head and got of the couch to greet them.

"We ready to party girl! What time we leaving?" Zakiya asked.

"Girl this is a baby shower not no club party." I said reaching for a hug. We all laughed then walked into my room and talked for awhile.

I texted a few people and gave them the address to the building we were having the party, then texted Cedric to see if everything was ready.

Me: Hey, is everything ready?

Cedric: Yea, y'all can get ready to come up here.

Me: Okay

Cedric: Aye Tiff?

Me: Huh?

Cedric: I love you , and I'm sorry baby.

I read the texted and put my phone back up. I had already forgave him but he kept bringing up the situation and all I wanted to do was forget about it. I never told anyone either, whatever problems we had I was just going to keep it between us.

"Y'all ready to go?" I asked my friends, trying to get my mind off last week.

They all said "yes" at one time and we prepared to go.

*2 hours later*

My whole family came out and a few old friends. I didn't expect this many people to come but I enjoyed it.

Cedric was talking to a few of my cousin when Jacey walked in. He continues to talk to my cousins but never took his eyes off Jacey.

He spotted me and gave me a look. I shook it off and turned around to talk to my Aunt Brem.

The night was going good and I was sitting down at a table eating. Then all of a sudden I see Cedric ass being taken out the door by my uncle with a crowd following. I quickly got up to see what had happened.

Cedric was outside with his shirt off trying to fight Jacey. I pushed through the crowd and ran up to him pushing him off Jacey.

"Stop it now!" I said grabbing his arm. I pushed him away from everyone else and stood there with my hands on my hips.

"So you taking up for that nigga now?" He said still trying to get back to Jacey.

"Are you really sitting here trying to embarrassing me?

He didn't say nothing. He looked at me for a split moment then snatched his shirt out my hand and walked to his car with me following behind.

"So you leaving?" I asked walking up to the driver side.

He got in his car and speed off leaving me standing there with everyone watching me. Just then I heard police sirens and half my family dipped. Ain't this some shit? I thought to myself.

I walked over to the crowd and seen Jacey talking to the police. I thought about asking him not to press charges but I honestly didn't care. Allison and Zakiya walked up to me and walked me back in the building.

My night was ruined and my feelings were hurt. Cedric caused a big scene at my shower and then just up and left. I set back in the chair and put my hands to my face in disbelief.
