Girl on wheels

One

My name is Jamie I'm wheelchair bound. Yep you read that right, wheelchair Bound. I was in a terrible accident. I have no use of my legs because of it and that's why I'm in a wheelchair. I have a self propelling wheelchair that is mustard yellow. My favourite colour. And you know I'm starting my first day at my new school tomorrow.

And I already know what's going to go down. I'm going to have to deal with the stares and the comments but I've been given a buddy to help me through the school year so I mean it should be okay. Hopefully they are not some weirdo though or a jerk that's ableist as hell, that would actually be the worse thing to happen.

I've already got my bag ready with all my books and stuff in so all I have to do is manage to quiet my ever growing mind. You see, my head likes to focus on all the what ifs? and I can never quieten it. I'm just laying in bed listening to music on full blast to quieten my head, it works most of the time but today its not really working. I roll myself over and close my eyes, listening to 5sos and trying to sleep.
