We spent the rest of the day listening to ablest comments about how "maybe if you took a bath and had some tea you'd be stronger and able to walk." This was from multiple people. Yeah fuck this world.
It was now the end of the day and James was driving me back to mine. He told me he couldn't stay tonight as he had to go to gym. And he said that was the truth. I didn't really know if I should trust him or not but I did have faith he wouldn't lie to me again.
Once he dropped me at home I waved goodbye as I watched him drive away. I went into the house and my mum was home early for the first time this week. Shes been caught up at work for the past few months but now she's got more time on her hands as James drives me to school and back home again so she can finally pursue her working life she always dreamed of. For the rest of the night we caught up on the sofa over ice cream and movies. As you can probably tell I love movies. But not as much as I love ice cream.
At around ten we called it a night and I got ready for bed. I brushed my teeth and had a well needed shower. Let's just say now I have zero energy left. I got into bed and snuggled up in the duvet. For the second night in a row I didn't need any music to get me asleep as I was out like a light as soon as my head hit the pillow.
I woke up at some point during the night to find James snuggled up next to me. I really need to take that extra key away from him, my mum gave him it in case of emergencies and to save me having to get the door every time he came over. He keeps staying over at night and I don't know why. I'm usually fine at home and don't need much help. But I have zero clue why he always spends most of his time here. Well he didn't yesterday but that's when he met up with that girl. But I let him off the hook for that one. I knew then that I wouldn't be getting to sleep for a while. I sighed a little too loud and it caused James to stir, and then eventually wake up all together.
"Hey." He says taking my hand and holding it. "Hey." I reply suddenly nervous. "Do you need anything?" He asks after a while. "No. But thank you." I reply. He moved closer to me and the duvet slipped a little and I saw he didn't have a shirt on. Oh lord. I gulped really loudly and he asked me "what's wrong?" "Uh. You don't have a shirt on. That's what's wrong." I reply taking my hand away from his. I felt cold as soon as I did. "Hold on." He says climbing over me and getting off the bed. I watched him put a shirt on, he was being lit by my fairy lights that were on all day and all night courtesy of me always wheeling over stuff during the night. He then climbed in beside me and took my hand again. "Alright?" He asks. "Alright." I reply. I watch him snuggle up in the duvet and try to get comfy. "Cuddles?" He asks giving me puppy dog eyes after a while of being quiet. "Cuddles." I say letting go of his hand and putting my arms out. He curls up beside me and I pull him closer, our sides now touching and my arms wrapped around him. I felt warm again for the first time in a while. I shut my eyes and drifted off to sleep with him by my side.
