They all stayed for a few hours more and we spoke and caught up on life. Bandit was allowed up onto the bed and to greet Astro and they were playing like there was no tomorrow. We were all laughing at their funny antics and enjoying life. My anxiety still loomed over me from my previous attack but I pushed the thoughts away and focused on my dog and my friends. That doesn't work all the time but it's a fifty fifty chance it will and today it did. When James got up to get me more water Chloe and Ella looked as though they were going to say something to me again but stayed quiet. I'm not sure what's up with them but I didn't push.
Once they had all left, Astro fell asleep next to me and I wasn't far off from sleep myself. Tomorrow was school and I couldn't help thinking how it would go with Astro there with me. I knew it wouldn't be easy navigating the halls with her by my side especially in my wheelchair. Maybe I'll ask James to pick us up earlier so we can train beforehand. I know that's still not long to get used to it all but I can't exactly get into school on a Sunday can I? I know it should be okay as Chloe has Bandit at school and it's not like people are going to be going crazy when they see her. I mean the odd few might but there's already a dog at school so they don't really have a reason to freak out. I really need to eat something. I sigh and transfer into my chair. Why does it always take so much energy? I wheeled to the kitchen and Astro followed close behind me. Little cutie. I grabbed a bowl and made some cereal. Not exactly food but I've got no spoons so let me live. I ate it at the kitchen table with Astro at my side.
After a while of just sitting there staring at Astro I decided I should probably taker her on a walk as she's been in bed with me all day. I grabbed her lead and we left the house. We just went around the block a few times and I planned on playing fetch with her in the garden later to get anymore energy out that she has left. Her little golden butt swayed about as she walked and I found it the funniest thing ever for some reason. We had to stop for a few minutes because I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. Meanwhile Astro just stared at me like "come on mum. I wanna go!"
As we were walking back I saw James pull up outside the house. As we were wheeling towards the house I watched him in his car. He looked stressed and as if he was upset. I have no idea why. He got out the car and went into the house just as Astro realised it was him and started going crazy. I laughed a little at her crazy antics and we continued on home.
Once we were inside I unleashed Astro and she went to find James. Luckily for her he was only on the sofa so she didn't have far to go. She seems to love him as much as I do. Wait. I don't mean love. Or do I? I'm confused. Fuck I don't mean that. We haven't known each other for that long. I don't know what's happening to me lately.
Astro came back over to me and I gave her a pat on the head before I made my way slowly to the sofa. I'm still confused as to what my head just said but I'll have to get over it. I transferred onto the sofa and we just sat there in silence for a while. Not awkward silence more of a comfortable silence if you get what I mean. Astro had hopped up and laid between us giving me her head and James her booty. He let a little chuckle but that was it for a while. The rest of the time was silent. I didn't know what to say and I don't think he did either.
