My first day of school is today. I woke up early so I just attempted to get ready. I managed my hoodie and struggled to get my leggings on but managed in the end. My hoodie was mustard yellow because, you know, I've got to match my wheelchair. I transferred myself into my chair and wheeled into the kitchen.

I grabbed a box of cereal, Coco pops to be precise, and put them into a bowl. I grabbed a spoon and put the bowl into my lap, go to the fridge and get the milk out pouring it into the bowl, and wheel to the table. While I am eating my mother comes downstairs. My room is on the bottom floor so it's easier for me to get around. "We're going in 10 minutes are you ready?" My mum asked grabbing my bag and putting it by the front door. "Yes I'm all ready to go." I say between mouthfuls of cereal.

I have transferred myself into the car and am sat beside my mum who was driving me to school. I am kind of nervous but also excited. I am excited to hopefully make some good friends and meet new people. But I really hope my buddy is going to be a kind person and not a douche bag.

We arrive ten minutes later and I get out the car and into my chair, putting my bag onto the back of it. My mum, being the control freak she is, takes me into the main entrance to see me off. I love her but sometimes I really do question her. I had to wait for my buddy to arrive so I just moved to the corner and waited after saying goodbye to my mum. I was now alone.

I had to wait maybe five minutes before my buddy arrived which isn't long but when they walked through the door I seem to have been paired up with a guy for some reason but we have all the same classes so that's probably why. He walked over and introduced himself to me. "Hey I'm James." He said giving me a high five. Yeah a bit weird but I don't ask questions. "I'm Jamie." I say smiling at him. "Uh So first we have science. Do you want to go now or do you want to wait for it to be quiet?" He asks me smiling. "Uh we can go now I guess." I say starting to move my wheelchair. "Okay sure. Follow me." He says with an even bigger smile.

So we basically managed to get there Okay ish. Well there were comments and stares but I just wheeled quickly and we managed it. People usually part the crowds so it was okay getting through. We made it to science in about five minutes. We just waited outside for the bell to go and we chatted a bit. I'm not really one for speaking so it was a bit difficult for me but I managed.

The teachers had already put a table out for us to sit at right at the front in the corner as I wanted. So I wheeled over while he walked and I got my stuff out and just sat there waiting for the teacher to come in.

The lesson was pretty mediocre. Nothing happened we just did science. I didn't speak much to James but it doesn't really matter to be honest. We had a free next so we couldn't decide where to go next. "How about the library?" He asks
"Uh no. I mean I don't mind reading but I hate silence. How about we go sit outside or something?" I ask wheeling my way to the nearest exit outside. "Okay sure." He replied following behind. I opened the door and wheeled out. I heard a gasp from James "What? Are you okay?" I ask looking behind me. "Uh yeah I'm find. I didn't think you could open doors that's all." Stupid stereotypes. Of course I could open the fucking door just because I'm in a wheelchair doesn't mean I can't do anything for myself. "Surprise!" I say sarcastically as I wheel over to a spot under a tree. "Sit." I command him as he makes his way over still looking confused. He sits and takes a book out of his bag. Really? Wow. Okay then looks like I'll have to sit here by myself and wait until break time. I get my phone out of my bag struggling a tad but managing, He didn't even offer to help and his eyes never left the pages of his book. Dick. Okay well maybe he wasn't but he still kinda is a dick for thinking that I couldn't open a door. I open up my messages and see I've got a message from my organisation who's training my service dog for me. They had sent through a lot of photos of her working and playing and having the time of her life. I wish I could have her right now here with me but she's not finished her training yet. A few more months to go and she will be in my arms and able to help me out when I need it. "What you looking at?" He asks finally tearing his eyes away from the pages. "My dog." I reply still a little pissed. "Woah. What's the matter with you?" He asks "nothing." I reply My anger growing apparent. Breathe. Just breathe. I calm myself down and see he's gone back to his book. "Can we go around the school? I want to explore." I say putting my phone back and wheeling back to the pathway. I turn around and see he's still sat there. "I'll be back soon. Don't leave from here." I reply going down the pathway.
