Twenty Eight

The police arrested him and took him to the station after I explained what he had been doing to me for the past few months. I ended up having a few anxiety attacks and Astro responded and the police gave me time to calm down.

As soon as they had left with him in the back of the car I called Chloe and Lea and they both came over as soon as I told them what had happened.

We cried and joked around with each other like nothing had happened and eventually ended up going out to get pizza. Astro hadn't worked outside of school in months. James said it was too dangerous for me to leave the house without him. Boi did I miss the outside, and pizza. I definitely missed pizza a lot.

We ended up going back to mine for a sleepover and we cleaned the sheets of the bed and decided tomorrow we'd go buy a new one. This one is too high for me anyway, at least that's what I keep saying to myself. A trip to Ikea is just what I need.

That night we the three of us and the two dogs all fell asleep in my bed. I really need to get the locks changed so he can't just walk on it here. I'll call them up in the morning.

The next morning, Chloe and Lea went out and got us all a McDonald's breakfast. The breakfast wrap is the best thing ever, willing to fight you over that. I called the locksmith up and he came over and changed the lock on the door. All keys are being kept inside from now on. James has no way back into this house. Thank god.

"Let's get this party started and go to Ikea!" I squeal as I transfer into the back seat of Chloe's car. The dogs piled in beside me and Chloe and Lea got in the front.

As soon as we entered Ikea we were approached by security. "No dogs allowed." He said. "They're assistance dogs and have the right to be here." I respond, feeling a sense of confidence overcome me. "Are they guide dogs?" He responds crouching down in front of my chair. "Please stand up sir, and they are not guide dogs. They are assistance dogs trained to assist us. It is against the law to deny us access." Chloe says as Astro starts alerting to me. "Whatever." He replies walking off. Assistance dogs aren't all sunshine and rainbows that's for sure.

A lot of tail pulling and having to manoeuvre around the Ikea crowds, we were back home with a new bed for me. I let lea and Chloe build it for me as I took the dogs for a walk around the block.

And sure enough, once we returned the bed was built and the pups were tired out. We ended up building a blanket fort and watching movies until my mum arrived home.

Obviously she couldn't get in the house as the locks had been changed so I had to explain to her about everything that had been happening. In the end, she decided to cut down on the amount of work she took on and promised me she would look after me from now on.

If only I had my dad here then maybe we'd be a happy family and none of this would have happened. But he was a douche and I'm mad at myself for even wishing he was here with us, he didn't want me so I don't ever want him.
