From the night we got back from our first mission Natsu was determined to turn me into a fighter, once he realised he would beat me in a heartbeat if we were to fight he felt sort of sorry for me being a dragon slayer and not being able to fight back. For 5 gruelling years Natsu and I trained practically everyday, attempting to teach me how to defend myself and to protect the ones I care about.
Natsu opened my eyes to the world of self defence and from the moment I learned how good it felt to be able to protect myself and others for once I began to crave the power.

Gray and I got fairly close over the years as well and whenever I wasn't training with Natsu or either of us were on a mission I began to train using my ice element with Gray. Natsu of course didn't like it, I assume because he didn't want me to spend time with his frenemy.

I had gotten pretty confident however I knew I would never be as strong as the two boys, I could at least protect myself from basic monsters or enemies now. Luna has gotten stronger as well, her and happy get alone like wildfire. They had both really improved using their Aera magic.

I had finally gotten my own apartment in the outskirts of magnolia so I could be close to the forest for training and serenity yet not too far from the guild. I had befriended everyone in the guild and I was happier than ever, finally having a place to call my own, and to be welcomed with open arms.

"I SAID SHUT UP!!" Screamed Mirajane's resentful voice, it echoed through the once peaceful hall, which was quickly followed by Erza's equally as angry voice.
"WATCH IT LADY!" as she yelled back.

"Do they ever stop fighting?" Asks gray in his usual stuck up voice, his clothes discarded somewhere on the floor as he leans on the bar irritatedly.
"You of all people should know that they will never stop." I say giggling slightly at the semi naked man.
He turns back to his iced drink before smirking slightly.
"I can't want to kick stupid lava lamps ass when he gets back" gray laughs at the thought of fighting Natsu, one of the few things that bring him joy.

I don't like fighting but I've been a member of fairy tail for almost 6 years now. It isn't that much of a long period of time but it feels like I've been here for decades, the fighting comes with the guild so I can't exactly get away from it.

The guilds doors flung open, the bright light blinding everyone looking its way, disturbing my thoughts.

"WHERE IS THAT STUPID BUCKET OF ICE?!? IM GOING TO KICK HIS ASS!!" An angry voice boomed through the guild hall, screaming louder than both Erza and Mirajane just seconds earlier.

Gray had sent Natsu and happy out on a search for a mystical puffer fish. It was said to be the most delicious fish that once you ate it you would become the strongest wizard ever to walk the earth. Of course the fish didn't exist, Gray just wanted to mess with the pair and they were so gullible they didn't hesitate to go find it.  

"What are you so mad about lava boy?" Gray retorts with a smug smirk.
"DONT ACT DUMB YOU SNOW CONE! THAT FISH ISNT REAL" natsu screeches at Gray.
"I can't believe you fell for it, you're such a flaming moron!" Gray laughs hysterically.
"YOURE GOING DOWN SNOWMAN!" Natsu yells and dives at Gray.
Before the two boys could begin fighting Erza's voice echoes through the hall.
"STOP FIGHTING ITS CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!"

The two boys instantly pull each other in for a hug and start dancing around the hall smiling widely.
"We aren't fighting Erza we are dancing! Ha ha ha" they say in sync, fear riddling their voice.
"But wasn't she just fighting Mira?" I sweat dropped.
"Sure was" Lisanna awkwardly chuckles beside me. 

I'm sure half the guild would have truthfully forgotten all about Christmas this year if it weren't for Mira, Lisanna and I's decorations. The three of us are from different worlds so to say, we are completely different in almost every way but we do share the same love of Christmas.

"I had better go home and finish my Christmas shopping Lisanna, I'll see you tomorrow?" I say to the white haired mage happily. She smiles brightly at the thought of presents.
"Oh course you will (y/n), be safe and merry Christmas" She says overly excited.

I wave her a goodbye and walk out of the guild into town.
'Now let's see, I have a present for everyone except Gray, Erza and Natsu.' I think to myself.

'Erza is easy, I'll give her a strawberry cake!' I think
'I had better get that last so it doesn't melt though, but what would gray like...?' I think.
'Maybe a shirt with locks on it so he can't take it off?' I joke with myself, laughing aloud causing everyone to look at me strangely.
'Maybe just a normal shirt then, he always complains about not having any because he loses them' I think again, I walk into a shop to the left of me and find the same shirt he always wears almost instantly.
'Well that was easy' I smile to myself and grab 5 in his size or what I hope to be at least.

The woman at the checkout asks for the money, I pay her, say goodbye and leave happily.

'That just leaves natsu' I hum.

As I think of his name I look up to see a frantic pink haired boy race into the cheap store in the middle of town.
'Speak of the devil' I think to myself. I begin to walk towards the store to see him but as I reach the store he races out with a large bag full of small wrapped lucky dip items. He then races home without noticing I was there.

'What thoughtful gifts...' I joke to myself again, laughing at him.

I sit in a nearby bench and contemplate what to get him.

'Ah!' I think finally realising.

I walk into the nearby 'leather man' shop, I walk in and see a new arm band, identical to his last one. Since natsu's fabric wrist band thing he found broke a few weeks ago and last week i heard him say how the real leather ones looked super cool I should get him one!

-the next day-

I sat up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun shining through your curtains into my eyes. It was a beautiful day, perfect for Christmas. The snow tipped trees swayed in the cool wind. I ran a hand through my hair gently and yawned.
'Today is going to be a big day'

Luna stirs from her slumber and gets up.

"Merry Christmas Luna!" I call excitedly from across the room.
"Good morning and merry Christmas to you too (y/n)" she giggles slightly. She knows how much I adore Christmas.

I grab my favourite outfit from the cupboard and walk upstairs to the bathroom.
I take a long shower today, washing my hair and shaving my legs, I exfoliate making sure to be extra clean, today is a special occasion as Christmas is very exciting.

I dry and dress myself, brush my teeth and hair, tie it up fancy, then decide to do a little makeup for a change.

When I finish getting ready I race down stares to see Luna fast asleep again.
I smile at my sleeping companion.

I take the opportunity to go and wrap her present.
I got her a necklace that she had been wanting for a while, it was sweet and had a small pendant on it.

I wrote her name on the small package in cursive writing and put it in the bag with of all the other presents.

I looked down at natsu's present and smiled. I had put a picture of natsu, happy, Luna and I the first Christmas we spent together in with his arm band. Natsu has his usual huge smile on, he was side hugging me, Luna and happy were flying above us smiling and laughing. Happy was holding a huge fish and Luna was holding a wrapped box. I was smiling nervously looking at natsu. This is my favourite photo, I have it framed on my desk.

I sign his gift with cursive writing alike the rest of them and place it in the bag, finally done.

"Luna, wake up, It's time to go" I say quietly waking her up.

The two of us grab our things, I make sure not to forget Erza's cake from the fridge, and made our way to the guild hall.
