Day 4
Today's first fight was called the naval battle, Lucy is competing, and from the other team it's Juvia.
I sat with Fairy tail team A today, considering Natsu was there I was fairly nervous but I was happy to be there.
"Do you think miss Lucy will win?" Asks Wendy politely.
"She's got Aquarius, she'll smash it!" I say excitedly.
The battle begins however doesn't exactly go to plan...
"I absolutely won't give up!" Lucy's voice echoes around the stadium.
Then she freezes.
"Why is she just waiting there?" Gray asks nervously.
"All right!!" Natsu happily says knowing we have a secured spot in second place.
"This can't be good..." I sigh anxiously as Minerva immediately begins her onslaught.
"STOP IT!!" Screams Natsu furiously.
I feel eyes burning into the back of my head and quickly whip around to see all of Sabertooth staring at us sickly.
Erza, Gray, and Natsu all turn to stair back with me in disgust and rage.
"Sabertooth" we all simultaneously spit.
The referee calls the battle, Minerva slowly floats the the edge of the sphere and holds the immobile Lucy out by her throat like a trophy.
"Lucy!!" Natsu and Gray both shout racing to catch her on time.
Erza and I stand there seething, following the boys out onto the field.
"WHAT IN THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?! You went way too far!!" Natsu shouts angrily at Minerva.
Wendy and Shellia race out onto the field with juvia to give Lucy emergency treatment.
"What a scornful expression" Minerva jeers after seeing mine and Erza's faces.
"You can glare at me all you want if it makes you feel better, but remember that I acted in full compliance with the rules of the competition" she spits.
"That maybe true but you went way outside the bounds of human decency" Erza retorts warning a small laugh from Minerva.
"I was simply trying to entertain the crowd, that's all" she laughs out.
"To be quite honest you should be thanking me, she got second place didn't she? She could have never done that without my help" Minerva states.
"What?" Natsu growls, striking a nerve.
Natsu, Gray, Erza and I all stand there ready to fight 4 out of 5 Sabertooth members, Minerva, Sting, Rufus and Orga. They all have happy expressions on their face. They're sick.
If looks could kill they would all be in their graves six times over by now.
Sting leans forward about to start, Natsu immediately goes to square up
however I take a deep breath and stand directly in front of all of them, as Erza puts her hand out to stop Natsu.
"Although you maybe the strongest guild in Fiore you'd be wise to heed this warning. Listen carefully. Making an enemy of fairy tail is a decision you will regret." Erza spits.
Sting breaks his eye contact with Natsu to look up and see the whole of fairy tail glaring down at them, all with the same furious expression.
I begin to walk away, grabbing natsu's hand gently and pulling him with me to Lucy, Erza and Gray follow.
"Come on Natsu, we will kick their asses in the competition, it's not worth it now" I say quietly while leading him away.
"This aint over saber..." Natsu growls while walking away.
"She's going to be alright isn't she?" Asks happy nervously while sitting on the bed beside Lucy.
Suddenly team B walks in worried.
"You guys came!" Gray says surprised.
"we maybe on different teams but we are still in the same guild" Cana states.
"Laxus?" Natsu says surprised to see him.
"So? How is she?" Gajeel asks.
"She's not out of the woods yet but she'll pull through thanks to Wendy" porlyusica says.
"No it wasn't just me, we are lucky Shelia was there to help out too" Wendy disagrees.
"Thank goodness" mirajane sighs in relief.
"I'm glad to hear she hasn't sustained any lasting injuries" Erza states.
"They're gonna pay" Natsu growls out.
"You can sure as hell bet on that one" Laxus agrees.
"She's awake!!" Happy calls distracting us all.
Lucy slowly opens her eyes, confused once she sees us all there.
"You guys, I'm sorry" she speaks up.
"Say what? Why are you apologising?" Natsu asks confused.
Lucy buries her head in the pillows.
"Because I screwed up again" her voice sounds sad.
"Are you kidding! Second place is nothing to be sorry about" gray reassures her.
"We got 8 points in that round!" Wendy happily states.
"Yes, good job!" Erza agrees.
"But I lost my keys" Lucy says sadly.
"I've got them right here" happy says holding the small key bag.
"Oh that's a relief, thank you happy" Lucy happily says hugging her keys and falling asleep.
"I think she's going to be okay" Mira smiles.
"We still can't let those guys get away with this shit" Cana angrily says.
"I feel the exact same way" gray grunts.
"Lousy bunch of scumbags" gajeel growls. The door opens revealing master Makarov.
"Unfortunate circumstances but I'm glad both teams are here, I have something to tell you" he states.
"I was just contacted by the games organisers though I'm not sure if it will be a hell or hindrance to us we've been asked to consolidated our two teams into one." Master states.
"Say what?!" Asks Natsu stands up.
"So we gotta be like everyone else now huh?" Laxus groans annoyed.
"Why are they doing that?" Asks Mira.
"Since raven tails been disqualified there are 7 teams remaining, having an odd number makes it difficult to match up competitors for the battle. Therefore we have been told to do away with both a and b groups and form a single 5 person team for the rest of the tournament." Master states.
"So we are losing 5 members?" Asks Erza.
"So how will this affect out scores?" Asks Carla.
"We are only allowed to keep the lower one, that would be the 35 points from team A." Sighs Gramps.
"THATS TOTALLY UNFAIR!!" Happy cried out.
"Fair or not the decisions been made so we better accept it" Erza says looking down.
"Look on the bright side, this just means we will be able to put together an even more badass team" Cana says smiling.
"Well I wish this would have happened earlier, because we only have the 2 man battles left now right?" Gray says.
"Incorrect. Traditionally there's a mandatory day off followed by a battle involving all members from every team. It's important to choose carefully" porlyusica speaks up.
"No matter what happens I'm going to get revenge for Lucy. If they think they can treat her like that I'll show them myself that they're dead wrong!" Natsu says angrily.
I stand in the podium for fairy tail as their back up player watching them walk onto the field determined.
"I'm all fired up now" Natsu growls furiously.
"Finally the moment we've all been waiting for!! The new and improved fairy tail team!!!" The announcer shouts. Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Laxus and Erza all make their way into the stadium, glaring at Sabertooth.
Once the commentator informs us of all the fights that will be happening today fairy tail make their way back to the podium where I am.
"You guys are the last fight for the day so I think I'll go sit with Lucy until you are up, I'll see you soon!" I say and wave goodbye to the group.
"Wait up y/n I'll come with you" Natsu calls, he says goodbye and joins me.
"I wonder if she will be awake again when we get there?" Natsu asks curiously.
"Maybe we should let her rest" I say thinking about it.
"Maybe" he says repeating me.
We both make it to the infirmary and see she is indeed asleep.
I shut the door and step backwards.
"Let's go get some food instead" I whisper, smiling up at the pink haired man. He nods in response.
The two of us walk around to the food dispenser, I put some money in and get us both a bag of popcorn, a drink and a chocolate bar, then one of everything else in the machine for Natsu.
"Thanks" Natsu mumbles between eating handfuls of pop corn.
"You can't be hungry before your fight, you need all of your strength" I say smiling up at him.
"Man I'm going to get revenge for humiliating us and hurting our friends. Sabertooth is going to pay" Natsu growls, angrily eating his snacks.
"I know you will win" I say smiling down at my popcorn.
"Of course I will" he grunts out. I laugh at his childish demeanour.
He looks back at me laughing and smiles.
"What?" He asks back.
"Nothing, nothing" I say and nudge him gently. He laughs and looks away, not understanding.
"Just don't get too beat up okay?" I say to him.
"Don't worry about me, I'm going to kick their ass" determination fills his eyes.
We go out seperate ways and he heads back to Lucy, I go back to the stadium to watch the rest of the fights before fairy tail fights Sabertooth.
