Twenty four

-Natsu's pov-

I cant believe it's been seven years! Everyone looks so different. Well everyone that's here at least, everyone else that went missing all look the same. It's sad, lots of other people have left the guild but they were jerks anyway. Who do they think they are leaving when we needed them most!?

Jeez, I just can't get over it. The guild is so weird now, everything's off, I'm so lost cause of how much has changed. I hate change. It's completely different now.

All morning I've been waiting at the stupid new tables waiting for one person to show up but she isn't here, no one knows where she is either. Please be okay y/n, I miss you.

-Lucy's pov-

I see natsu looking lonely while slumped across the table so I decide to go cheer him up.
"Hey Natsu! What's up?" I ask cheerfully.
"Mm hey Luigi" he mutters
'Oh not this again!'
"Why are you acting so weird?" I ask again.
"Y/n" he mumbles almost inaudibly.
"What about her?" I ask slightly upset.
'Jeez he is always thinking about her'
"She's not here" he says slightly raising his head.
"She's probably left the guild like everyone else" I say with a smile. It's better get his mind off her now before he gets obsessed.
Suddenly he stands up and slams his hands against the table causing a scene.
"SHE WOULD NEVER DO THAT" he screams full of rage before grabbing his bag and storming off.

"What the hell was that all about?" I hear gray ask curiously from behind me.
"Beats me" I sigh and sit back down a bit shaken.

-Y/n's pov-

After basically stumbling for an entire day to the closest train station, I finally made it! Sweet relief!
Sighing heavily I walk to the ticket master and with a shaky voice ask

"Hello, when will the next train to magnolia be coming?"
"Let me see, in about 5 hours" he says looking back at me.
"Perfect" I say softly and purchase my ticket, then slowly waddle to the closest seat.

'I get to have a nap before the train comes at least' I think to myself before getting comfortable and pretty much immediately falling asleep.

-time skip-

Finally, FINALLY, I have made it back to my house.
Ughh there are no words for how ready I am to have a shower and sleep in my own bed! I feel so filthy and gross, a nice warm cup of (preferred warm beverage) would go down a treat right now too.

I take my shoes off at the front door and leave my bag in the hallway as I walk to the kettle to make my (drink). Once I turn it on I walk upstairs to the bedroom, grab my favourite pj's then walk to bathroom ready for my refreshing shower. While opening the door I catch a quick look in the mirror at my dishevelled appearance and sigh heavily.
'Why am I like this?'

I stepped into the shower, my feet flinching as they stepped onto the cold tiles. Closing my eyes to the water as the heat soaks into my skin, I lean my back against the cool but wet tiles as my weak legs threaten to buckle. I slowly slide down the wall and rest on the floor, sighing heavily. I lightly, taking careful notice not to touch the bruises that scattered my body, scrub the mud and dirt off my aching limbs.

'I didn't help at all. If anything I made it worse. I miss everyone. Why can't everything just go back to how it should be?'

The longer I sit the more my mind fades into dullness, the sensation of the steamy water finally calming me.

-third person's pov-

'It's been 2 days and he won't stop pacing. He is in a slump, he has barely eaten and has had hardly anything to drink, i think he is genuinely sick. Everyone keeps trying to get his attention on other things but he keeps on waiting for y/n like she's going to walk through that door at any sec-' Lucy thinks

Suddenly the door opens revealing a somewhat short person, shiny h/l h/c hair flowing freely down their back, wearing (outfit of choice).

"Y/N, you're back!!" Shouts Romeo.

Silence strikes the room as everyone looks up to see the girl.
Her semi lifeless e/c eyes immediately filling with tears as she looks around the room in total shock.
The sickening silence is broken by quick moving footsteps racing toward the door of the guild, a pink mop racing past.

"Y-yo-you" y/n stutters unable to properly speak as she is in shock. Happy faces she hadn't seen in seven long years all smiling at her, y/n didn't know what to do or think. Natsu's face pokes through the crowd, staring at her with his classic smile beeming at her.

-Natsu's pov-

"Y/n?" i croak. The only word I could say as i stand in front of the crowd who are all watching her. I missed her. She's grown so much, I can't believe I missed her so much.

Her tears fall rapidly down her lightly pink cheeks and the room lights up in cheers, everyone's excited to see her but I am too focused on her to hear them. She's crying.
I promised I wouldn't let her cry anymore.
I run to her, my legs moving on their own as in unsure of what else to do and wrap my arms around her so tightly she would never feel lost again. Her soft skin on mine, she smells so sweet like (favourite smell) and her soft hair in between my fingers. Holding her feels right.
I feel her thin arms wrap around my back as she cries into my chest.
I have to protect her.
"You're home" she say while crying, her small body shaking in my arms. Her dainty arms clinging onto me so tightly.
"We are all home" I say into her hair, my face resting on-top of her head.
