Twenty two

-y/n POV-

'W-where am I?' I think to myself. All I see is a blinding white light all around me.
'What the hell is going on?' I mumble out, but I am not able to make a sound.
'Wait what?!' I try to shout to no avail.
'Hello!?' I call again.
'What is happening!?' I panic.

'Okay think y/n, what's the last thing you remember?' I mentally say to myself after freaking out for a minute.
'I was reading a book and I mumbled the spell I was reading then boom, nothing. What does that mean? Do I exist anymore? Did I die?' I start to get concerned and panic once again.
'Wait did I die?' I start to freak out again.

"Don't be foolish child" I hear a voice say inside my head.
'(D-dragons name)!? I-is that you?!' I try to shout.
Surely that's not them!?

"Of course it is my child, now stop panicking. I am here to explain everything" their familiar voice calls to me.
'I have missed you so much!! Where did you go? Why did you leave me? Did we both die is that why I can hear you?' I panic once again, blurting my words in shock .
"Y/n, we are both alive and well. Now listen to me closely." Their voice calls.
I try to relax and nod in response however can't move my body.
"I never wanted to leave you, none of us dragons wanted to go. You are our children and we love you more than you know. And like I told you we are always going to be a part of you, right here" I hear their voice say then feel a light pressure on my heart.

'So why did you all go?' I ask curiously, trying to put together what is happening.
"We had no choice. I'm sure all will be explained soon enough my dear." They say.
"By the way, to answer your previous question, we are in your mind."  Dragons name says
'H-how?' I say shocked.
"What is the last thing you remember?" D/n asks.
'W-well umm, i-I remember I was looking at a spell book, mumbled a few words and then a big flash' I think, trying to recall.
"You somehow cast a spell that trapped you in some form of a time pocket. Your body has been frozen in time for the past 3 years and you haven't aged." They replied.
'W-What!?' I mentally shout in utter confusion. 
'That can't be possible can it!? How did this happen?' I once again panic.
"I don't know how you did it but you found the spell that someone had used to protect your comrades." D/n says.
I, completely overwhelmed by so much information, didn't know how to respond.
'What do you mean by that? They are all in the same time pocket thingy too?' I choke out.
I hear a hum in response.

'T-they're all okay?' I finally stutter out.
"Every last one of them" d/n loving voice says.
I feel tears falling from my eyes, but I am unable to move to wipe them.
"I love you child and I always will, but now is your time to wake up and protect your guild, join your family and once again be happy" They say, d/n voice slowly fading away as they speaks.
'D/n?' I ask worried.
"Yes child?" Their quiet voice calls out.
'What's going on?' I ask in fear, overwhelmed.
"You're waking up." They say happily.
"Someone broke the spell on your friends and I'm not too sure how it happened but broke your spell as well" D/n says.
'W-wait don't leave me again!' I shout, my happy tears now turning bitter.
"I told you y/n I will always be in your heart" d/n soft voice says.
'No d/n don't leave me again please! I missed you so much! I love you!! There is so much more to talk about!' I shout again.
"Be quick, your family needs you" is the last thing I hear d/n say before I wake up extremely confused in the middle of a broken down, falling apart library.

"W-What the hell just happened?" I mumble to myself before standing up slowly, stretching my sore body and cracking my stiff joints. I wipe the warm salty tears off my face and sigh heavily trying to figure out what was going on.

'Wait, I'm awake! And everyone else is okay!?' I mentally scream snapping myself out of my own thoughts, quickly I gather my scattered things and race outside.
