The Horn of Plenty (A Percy Jackson FanFic) COMPLETE

Chapter 7

When Kaytrin woke up the next day, a face was hovering over her's. She yelled, and grabbed her knife off of her bed stand, then tackled the person. Her covers were tangled around her legs, so she only managed to push the person away.

When she untangled her legs, she was able to see who was in her cabin. It was Samantha.

"Why are you here?" She yelled.

"I—" Sam tried to reply.

"What the heck is wrong?" Annabeth said, as she barreled into the cabin. "I heard you screaming— Why are you here?" She said when she saw Sam. Annabeth took a step back to survey the scene. Kaytrin looked like she had fallen out of her bed, and was holding her knife towards Sam. Sam had her hands up like she has surrendering.

"Sam, what are you doing in my cabin?" Kaytrin said, with a furious look in her golden green eyes. She was starting to glow scarlet.

"I wanted to tell you something, but you wouldn't wake up when I knocked on your door, so I came in," she answered.

"What did you want to tell me?"

"I wanted to tell you that I had no idea that my mom had stolen the cornucopia, and that I will try not to act like her. If she is as bad as Tyche implied, I don't want to be like her."

"That is nice, but Nemesis isn't as bad as you are thinking. She just likes to make sure that life is fair, so that is why she seems evil," said Annabeth.

"Oh," Sam blushed. "Sorry for scaring you, Kaytrin."

"I wasn't scared, you just startled me. It isn't every morning that I have someone looming over me when I sleep." She sighed. "Well, I am awake now. We should get ready, and then leave. We have to visit Tyson. I will wake up London, Sam can you grab breakfast for us three?"

"Sure," she said, then left.

"Good luck. Don't run into too many monsters," Annabeth said. Then she also left.
