A few days later, Leo came racing into her cabin. The wake up bell had just rung.
Luckily Kaytrin was already dressed.
"Kaytrin! It's ready! I just finished making your arm!" He shouted. The whole camp probably heard him.
"Really? When can it be attached to my shoulder?" She asked.
"As soon as you are ready."
"I'm ready right now."
"Follow me! You can come to the Hephaestus Bunker."
He dashed away, making Kaytrin have to run to catch up with him.
Leo led her into his cabin, then down a set of stairs. A huge workshop that seemed to go on forever was hidden underneath the Hephaestus cabin.
He walked over to a table that had a bronze arm propped up against some how to books.
"Here we are!" Leo said.
"A celestial bronze arm?" Kaytrin exclaimed. "But—"
"Ah, it was no problem. Let's see if it works!"
"IF?"
"It works!" Leo said quickly. "Definitely works!"
"Oooookaaaaay, let's put it on," Kaytrin said.
Once it was attached to her shoulder, Leo flipped a switch near the inside of the elbow, and the arm jolted awake. It moved to her side like a normal arm would, resting by her hip.
She flexed her fingers, amazed, at the metal arm. She could move it so easily!
"Wow, Leo," Kaytrin said with wide eyes.
"Amazing, right?" Said Leo, grinning with satisfaction.
"Let's go back above ground. I want to show everyone!"
"Sure. Come on!"
