"My dear, I see that you are awake now. I have some good news," Chiron said, coming into the room. Behind him was Leo, the Hephaestus counselor.

"Oh man, Kaytrin. You are one tough cookie," Leo said. "But I have some a plan to get you a new arm. It would be robotic, of course, and I would need Tyson's help with the little bit of magic to make it so that you could move it like it was a real arm. How does that sound?" He was obviously very excited.

"Oh, wow, Leo! Really?"

"Yes. It might take a few days to make, and to get the measurements correct, but I think I can make it."

A small grin spread across her face. "London, this is the part where I get another one. Alethia said I would. Remember?"

"Yes. Kay, this is great!"

Chiron nodded, satisfied, and left the room with Leo and the rest of the healers, so Kaytrin and London were alone.

"Did you really kiss me before I fell asleep?" Kaytrin asked.

"Uh, yeah," London said nervously. "Sorry, I—"

Kaytrin grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him down, toward her.

"Don't apologize. Please," she said, then wrapped her arm around his chest, hugging him. She buried her head in his shoulder, and relaxed. It felt so good to finally relax. She was so tense during the whole quest, afraid she would make a mistake and get them all killed.

She stayed that way with London, her arm wrapped around his chest, and his arms wrapped her stomach and lower back until someone cleared their throat loudly in the doorway.

"I came here to check on you, Kaytrin," Sam said. "But is see that you are busy." Her eyes flashed dangerously. "I will leave now." She turned on her heel, stomping out into the hallway.

"What was that about?" London said.

Kaytrin studied his face. "You really don't know? Well, she likes you. I can tell by the way she acts around you. But she just realized that you like me."

"Oh. I never realized..."

"She will get over it. It was a minor crush anyway. They happen all the time. It was sort of like how the girls in your fan club like you. Admiration."

"Oh..." London repeated.

"Wait is playing out how Aphrodite like it to. Heartbreak and loss. She said that our stories were interesting. She might have made Sam like you."

"Woah, I forgot about that..." His eyesight unfocused like he was thinking.

"London," Kaytrin said, and gently kissed the corner of his mouth.

"Yes?" He said, his full attention now on her.

"How much do you like me?"

"A lot. I haven't ever liked anyone this much."

Kaytrin looked relieved. "I like you the same way."
