London finally staggered up Halfblood Hill fifteen minutes after Kaytrin had woken him up.
"Where were you?!" Kaytrin glowered.
"Waking up," he uttered.
"The sun has already risen. We must leave immediately," Kaytrin said, and whistled. Three pegasi landed gracefully on the grass near them.
"We are flying there?!" Sam asked, amazed.
"Yes, it is the easiest and fastest. Let's go."
They all picked a pegasus and launched into the air.
"Breakfast?" London called.
"Sam, give him a bagel. He can eat now."
"Alright. Here, London. Now, what cabin are you in?" Sam asked.
"Apollo," London said.
"The sun god? Are you good at playing music?"
London perked up. "Yes! I mean, I don't know how good I am at playing the lyre, I just like to play it."
"Oh, cool.... I play the violin," Sam eventually said.
"Are you any good at it?" London asked.
"I don't know. I don't think so," Sam shook her head slightly. "I don't tell a lot of people that I play an instrument. When I do tell them, they don't believe me. They say that the way I act doesn't seem like I would play a delicate instrument like the violin."
"Oh. Well, you do seem really tough."
"Exactly. Stupid stereotypes. At least when people try to make fun of me, I just have to take a step toward them, and they back away instantly. So, not all bad," Sam said and crossed her arms, looking pleased.
"So," said Kaytrin. "Now we go to Maryland, to find Percy's brother, Tyson. Let's get going at a faster pace."
