With that I got back up and stormed out of the door slamming it behind me.

My heart crumbling even more, now that I know some of what my Roza had gone through for me. After hearing all of that, I felt even more guilty than I had when I walked into to Guardian Croft's office.

I may have gotten my feeling about Janine's treatment of the woman that I love off of my chest, FINALLY. But that did not lessen the pain, remorse, guilt and heartache that I felt about how I had treated my Roza.

*END FLASHBACK*

Every day except for my day off, since before my Roza left, I stood in Lissa and Christians living room. Even before my Roza's title had been transferred to me. And every night, before I left, they tried to get me to stay for dinner.

Tasha had unfortunately moved to court, at a breakneck pace, just as soon as she found out that my Roza was gone. She made it a point to try and get as close to me as she possibly could and she wasn't shy about her motives for moving to court.

Even though I had told her repeatedly, that there never had been and that there never would be an 'us'. She didn't seem to understand what I was saying, and tonight was absolutely no different.

I remember my first day as Lissa's official guardian, after my Roza left, just like it was yesterday.

*FLASHBACK*

I had arrived half an hour before work, because I had somethings that I wanted to say to Vasilissa.

"Oh, Dimitri, you're early."

"Yes, Princess. Before I start working as your guardian there are somethings that I would like to say. If you do not want me as your guardian after I have said my piece then I will understand completely."

"Dimitri, I have asked you to call me Lissa."

"I understand that Princess, and if that is still your wish after I've had my say then I will do so."

"All right, come into the living room and let's sit down." I gave a swift nod.

Once in the living room, I refused to sit down until I knew what her reaction to what I was going to say would be.

"Go ahead with what you want to say Dimitri."

"Princess, after hearing the lengths that you went through to keep Roza and I apart I am appalled. I know that I asked you not to let her have access to me. But I did not want you cursing her out, slapping her, threatening to have her title revoked, threatening to have her transferred to another country, threatening to have her extradited from our society, or any of the other things that you did. Roza never deserved the way that either one of us have ever treated her. I want you to know that if or when my Roza comes back. That I will do and be whatever I have to, in order to get her back. If that requires that I stop being a guardian and we move away from court, then so be it. I will do so in a split second, I will stop at nothing to get her back. Nothing and no one will ever come between my Roza and me ever again. Now, after knowing all of this, if you still wish me to be your guardian then I would be honored to do so. But, if you do not wish me as your guardian, then as I said I will understand."

"You are right, I should not have done any of those things. I went wayyy to far in trying to keep you and Rose apart. I don't know why I went that far and there is no excuse for the things that I said and did. I appreciate your feelings in this matter and I will do everything that I can to help you get Rose back. WHEN she returns. And until then, of course I still want you as my guardian. And you are still to call me Lissa."
