So, Aunt Tati instructed that the cabin was to be spruced up and made ready for us by then.

We heard, through the guardian grapevine, that Kirova was not at all happy about it. But neither one of us cared what she did and didn't like. And we knew that once it was known, throughout our world, who Dimitri and I are. Who and what title we are about to hold, she will do her best to back pedal her words, deed, actions and attitude towards the both of us. And I personally can't wait to confront her about everything that I have had to put up and deal with from her since I was a very young child.

And as Aunt Tati had the arrangements made for our month at the academy. Vika called and made reservations for us in the honeymoon suite that Mr. Cisco mentioned.

But now, after a fun and relaxing but far too short lived honeymoon, we are back here in Turkey at baba's estate. And neck deep in what we came here for originally.

When aunt Tati went back to court, she took all of the three hundred legal pads. That we had filled up with things that needed to be changed in one way or another with her. And when she got back to court, she set to work trying to get as much of it done as she possibly could before she retires.

Sitting here in one of the sun rooms on the third floor of baba's estate. I remember back on a conversation that I had with Eddie a few days ago.

*FLASHBACK*

"You know, in all the years we were at the academy. I never once thought that I would someday be helping to shape the future of our world. I honestly thought that I probably wouldn't still be alive three years out of the academy. Don't get me wrong, I know that I am good at what I do. I am just nowhere near as good as you or Dimitri."

"Eddie, if you want Dimitri to help further your fighting technique. Then raise the subject with him, I know that he wouldn't mind. It's not like I can train with him anymore, at least not for the next several months. And you are just as much of a brother to him as you are to me Eddie. Plus, I know that he still misses Ivan, and hanging out with you might help ease some of that pain. As for helping to shape our world. You have some very good ideas about things that need to be changed and others that need to be implemented. Please don't sell yourself short Ed-O you are smarter than most people give we dhampir the credit for being. MOST of us are smarter than most of the royals give us the credit for being."

"Thanks for all of that Rosie, Dimitri is right, you are going to make a truly remarkable queen when your day comes."

"Thank you, brother of mine." I laughed.

"You are very welcome, sister of mine." This time we laughed together.

"Is there anything else that you can think of, that we have not come across, that needs to be deleted, added or changed in our laws Eddie?"

He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair.

Turning his head, he looked directly into my eyes. "I wish that there was SOMEWAY that we could get the moroi, royals and non-royals, to see and understand that the dhampir are not just for sex and cannon fodder. I know that we are changing the LAWS, and I really appreciate that Rose. But I just wish that there was someway to change the way that they think of, see and feel about us. I know that publicly they will obey the laws, for the most part anyway. But I wish that there was a way to really and truly change their  hearts and minds about us."

"That is what we are trying to do Eddie, this is a start. But we are not going to stop here, we are not going to become stagnant, we will keep pushing. And eventually how they think and feel WILL change, I promise you that Eddie. We may not be here to see it; our children may not even be here to see it all. But this is the beginning of it Eddie, we are changing our world for the better, for the future. For our children, for our grandchildren, for our great grandchildren. For all the generations yet to come."
