This time she bit my earlobe hard. But not hard enough to actually hurt me, because she would never actually do that, not to me. Several other people, I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever about that, but never me.

With one final knee buckling kiss we made our way back to the study. Which is where the others were still gathered and discussing the situation.

"All right baba, I have done some investigating. And you all need to hear this recording."

At the nod given to me by my Roza, I started playing the recording from my cell phone and by the time that it was over. There were more than a few of those that were gathered in this room who were not only in shock, but they were also furious. As for Abe, he looked like he had suspected that Tasha had been behind her own supposed kidnapping.

"What is it that you didn't think was possible and that you thought that I would do, kizim?"

"While I was inside, I looked further into the future, as you heard, and I saw something that stunned even me. Apparently, if you have a certain number of spirit users, the number depending on the size of the property. Then those spirit users can stand in the center of the property and put a spirit shield around the entire perimeter of the property. But they have to be in the dead center of the property in question. The shield will never have to be renewed and nothing can destroy it, like a charmed stake can to the wards that we currently use. And strigoi cannot ever get through it."

"We need to do that."

"Indeed." Was what Abe said.

"How many spirit users would be needed to do that at each of the court locations?"

"Well, I have only ever been to the one in America, so I don't know how big the others are. But the court in America is so big that it would take at least five spirit users."

"The satellite courts are only about half that size kizim."

"Then they shouldn't take but three, or four at the most."

"This could make the spirit users in our world the most important people in our society after the queen and king."

"I agree. So, we would have to keep their identities a highly guarded secret. And if someone wants it done to their own properties, so that they don't have to move to one of the court locations or to one of the communities. Then they would have to make a request through a special hot line number or an e-mail address on a website, that I think should be established and dedicated solely to that. And since it is the rich and royals who would want that done, then they will have to pay a set fee. Which would depend on the number of spirit users that it would take, along with the size of the property that they want protected. And each of the spirit users would have to have at least half a dozen guardians. The fee will be split, half of it will be split between the spirit users and the rest donated to different charities in our world. Including the academies, with specific instructions of where and how it is to be used."

"Yes, I completely agree. But how would you go about hiding their identities?"

"Like the druids of old they would wear cloaks with hoods on them when they are on assignment."
